Title: Any Chemiststry Nuts Out There?

A friend of mine who used to make methamphedimine (dead now) once told me that to make Amphedamine (not metha) you just needed some coal and gun blueing and it would crystalize all by itself if left alone for a long time. 

Anybody???

I have no idea what "gun bluing" is but what are you talking about? This sounds like pure crap to me you are missing tons of steps if your friend was legitimate.

Unfortunately it's not that easy. Its true that amphetamine can me made rather cheaply, especially if manufactured in large quantities. But it requires more than just coal;)

Actually No.  Not  Methamphetamine---he said it made Amphetamine.  But, potassium nitrate?  That's what is in gun blueing?
