I would like to make a full backup of the SR forum to save all the security stuff etc. I think we all know it will not last very long, so it would be great to have all the stuff saved if SR goes offline.
Do you have an idea how to save the entire forum with all threads and images etc? I don't need be able to login but I want to be able to load all threads and so on.
How can I do this? I think many people would be interested in a Silkroad forum backup.

Sr use SMF forum software and use its default template.
The only thing with backup would be the database which you cannot backup until you have Admin account of forum or access to phpmyadmin.
Its only the matter of database, SR is not flat file. :)
Im so sure admin takes backup everyday or once in 2 days.

But that's wrong. It's possible to rip whole sites, you don't need to have the database for this. You can save everything that you can see in the browser, and more.
I want to know how I can make a full backup of this forum, an offline version. Can anyone recommend a good website ripper for linux?

The professor who published the academic paper "Traveling the Silk Road" a couple months ago said it took 48 hours to crawl the marketplace site, so it's probably gonna take longer than that to get the forums -- I'd go with what StExo says..
