When I get really stoned I do for like a split second. I stop what I'm doing and perk up and listen for foot steps, then after like a min I laugh at myself for being so crazy. I mean I'm a bulk buyer but nothing crazy, an lb at most. But cops are crazy they love busting into shit.

Hahahaha yes! I was just thinking bout this like two nights ago when I have been hearing helicopters way to much lately. Been hearing them like two nights in a row( but high in the sky). Still it is always at night so I figure it is either news or police copters scanning the ground.

I dont know about you guys, but here in the uk some regions have "drought warnings" in "severe" warm weather conditions. This means hose-pipe bans. When this happens, there seems to be more police "presence" in the skies than usual. Has anyone else noticed this?.
IS this just another attempt to make more money buy dishing out more fines?? Probably.

When I was 15 and used to sell hash to my mates and smoke it myself every day. I used to get so paranoid when I was walking alone, I used to think the police might be using Taxis as unmarked cars! ::) One day me and my mates were in a wood smoking joints when a helicopter began to circle overhead. Put it down to paranoia at first until we realized it WAS circling us! Followed us back to the main road where two police cars instantly intercepted us (we'd thrown all our stuff). Turned out they were looking for someone else matching our description, so they let us go.
Only other time as I grew older that I got so paranoid was smoking crack. That shit's the worst for paranoia, for some people. Doesn't effect all people like that though. I was a hardcore curtain twitcher on that shit! :o

Can't say I've noticed that. What could be the connection between a drought or severe weather and more police presence?
One thing I will say is, I'm glad I don't live in the USA. Your police are serious shit. They really don't take no prisoners (so to speak ;)). And the jail time you guys get for some crimes, unbelievable! I wouldn't have done half the shit I used to do if I lived in America! Your big time dealers must be hardcore. 8)

I'm fortunate enough to never have been pursued by helicopters, but almost every time I hear a siren I have to fight the sudden intense urge to run for the nearest manhole cover and hide.

Weed does that to you? Schrroms? Every time I tried weed, over the span of 10 years, it put me to bed within 30 minutes. I finally realized it just wasn't meant to be.

The relevance is, Adasel, if I felt paranoid from hearing a helicopter flying over, I'd quit taking my illegal goodies and quit buying or selling. And I quit buying/selling on SR.

the purchase i made on SR i was waiting for it for almost two weeks. One day i was outside cutting the grass and a helicopter was circling right around my house and i was like "oh shit they got me"!

When they're dealing with a suspected suicide bomber I think this is the only safe way of dealing with them. No warning, just unload a full clip to the head. But they HAVE to have good intel on the target. The report on this incident showed that they'd majorly fucked up with their intelligence gathering and identification of the suspected bomber, although 7/7 had recently happened I still don't think that excuses their sloppy work.
I agree that UK police shouldn't be carrying guns (except the armed response ones). Not because they can't be trusted (although I wouldn't trust my life to one of them), more that I think it would just escalate the amount of violence and gun crime on the street. No one knows for sure it would, but most police officers think being armed would be a bad idea. I heard a statistic the other day that in the USA, for every police officer who is shot whilst on duty, one in ten of them is shot with their own gun!
I'm glad that over here we don't have a similar level of gun crime to the USA. The day the streets of London are like New York may be inevitable, I just hope there a long way off.

I have spent most of my life growing marijuana. Helicopters are always a real fear. I guess now though the police are planning on stepping up their game and deploying drones with thermal imaging and cameras that record in 1080p. Lovely.

I think in our lifetimes we'll see a big increase in the use of drones, both for the military and the domestic police. :(

Thats one fucking scary idea mate. Combine that thought with the idea they had of putting SAM sites on top of buildings for the olympics.
We are in dangerous times, and the military could take over just like that.

On the subject of growing and thermal imaging has anybody tried under LED bulbs, iv looked into it but got mixed reviews. Anybody got any personal experience of these?

I used to work on a weed farm in northern california. We had about 150 plants producing over 500 pounds.
Helicopters would fly over sometimes and YES FOR THE LIFE OF ME I WOULD THINK "OH SHIT POLICE"
especially because a nearby farm got busted by the FBI earlier that year..
To this day every helicopter that flies over reminds me of that and will still scare me

One time when I had a full-on crop of green growing in my house with 4 x 600w HPS lamps knocking out some SERIOUS fuckin heat, I noticed a helicopter hovering bang over my house for about 5 minutes. I ran inside, dismantled the whole thing in about 30 mins and disposed of my entire crop of White Widow which was 3 weeks into fkowering and staring to reek like a bitch.
Nothing happened......I was well pissed off.

i hear those ghetto birds flying over all the time, and yes it makes me paranoid, but only when they circle my apartment, LOL. they already have unmanned drones flying over Los Angeles.... or its just a matter of time anyways. But, one of the reasons i don't smoke weed any more, is the ensuing paranoia that which i call "the fear" that every car or person that passes my window is watching me. . . but just because i'm paranoid, doesn't mean they're not after me.

If you are living in a european house, i dont think you have to worry so much about thermal imaging, it will just show the temperature of the wall, not the temperature of what is inside.
If you're living in an american "house" consisting of wooden planks, this is of course an entirely different issue.

A lot of growers have been caught using this system.
We are even catching up with america now, a lot of handheld devices floating around certain departments, especially places like manchester where the police are so corrupt they cant wait to get their next drug baron.

Yeah dead right. If you are growing with any more than 1 x 600 HPS and you get a helicopter hovering over your house you have a fucking serious reason to get paranoid.
