Always be careful of moneypak exchangers, they are rarely legit. All it takes is a $150+ order for them to make their money back.

Why do all the money changers pretend to be women? Is it because men psychologically feel more compelled to trust a women with finances?

The more antsy you are to get customers quickly (and even buying at mtgox high rate with no fees?) the more sketchy you seem.

I hate to be the whistle-blower, but fuck off.

Yeah, welcome. Im not one to call you a scammer until you scam. Im sure you are here to be a legit money changer, and I hope you do well.

the problem becomes that after you get rolling and get feedback, then it is all based on honesty. We have all seen too many vendors (let alone moneychangers) disappear in the night.

I have to say.... I have not been here a "long time", but I have seen a few come and go already.

right now Sugar Mama seems to be on the longest "honest streak" out of any of them (funny enough, she is also a she)

I hope sugar mama stays honest forever, but unfortunatly There is no other way to tell, other then time.

Any money changer could be here for 5 years doing the best job ever and then one day just disappear.

with that said.

Good Luck!

How can you be so sure it's not a woman or a man or both? What if it's got some double d's and a 12 inch blue saucerhead?

You guys are rude. Lucky you can talk mess behind the computer.  I don't take insults very well.
Your statement could be interpreted as a feminine plea, confused bluster, and mild pout. In other words, an entirely feminine response. The reason most people are going to assume you are male is the fact that anyone who feels the need to state their gender, as if it changes the environment they are part of, is not likely to be honest. Whether we are male or female we are a part of the Road. Nationality does not matter nor does ethnicity or sexuality. That leaves gender as the only remaining socially-relevant point that could be mentioned. Whether you are male and dishonest, female and honest, or even female and dishonest, it does not matter. All that matters is how people will try to interpret you. By calling yourself female, you also open yourself up to a lot of undesirable attention, as has already been occurring.

You are a moneypak-bitcoin exchanger, a business that is almost entirely fraud on the Road. You use your gender as a weapon. These are reasons to doubt and reasons to call into question your stated gender.

Or am I wrong?

I was not going to reply to this thread again as I want prettywoman to be a legit vendor, I didn't come here to bust her balls...oh wait.  :-X

With that said, PrettyWoman - if you can't handle the "pressure" of these folks being even mildly critical of you, wait until you deal with some of these customers.....they are insane.

Again best wishes and good luck!

Unfortunately I feel I may have fallen prey to prettywoman and her scams. I figured I'd go ahead and give "her" a shot as I like to encourage any new activity on the road and made a deal to trade BTC's for my MoneyPak. "She" promised to have the coins to me in a matter of minutes and now, well over a day later, will not respond to any of my messages or questions. Hopefully I'm wrong and the BTC's arrive, in which case I will happily amend my post, but just a warning to all, beware the prettywoman.

thats a terrible shame. I truly am sorry. How much was it if you don't mind me asking.

Also - have you contacted SR support - they wont be able to get you your $ back - but they could at least get rid of her.

It was $250. I had a bit of a bad feeling in my gut and should've listened to it but to late now. I have contacted SR though and just waiting to hear back from them.

I realize that ST is not in the BTC/MP business, but it would be benifitial to both you the buyer and SR admin to think up a scheme to help users manage BTC/MP vendor transactions.

Something like:

MP Vendor would create listing amounts (bounties almost) for MPs

Buyers would "buy the listing" in an almost reverse transaction.

Buyer would submit the MP code to SR as a feature of the listing

SR uses automated scripting to auto-verify the MP is valid and the amount is correct

Vendor would submit BTC to SR through a process also tied to this listings transaction

SR now has both Valid MP code (the vendor would see that it is approved) and BTC

Finally buyer/vendor accept the final details of the transaction (perecntages and what not. This would also be a final time to abort)

SR delivers BTC to buy and validated MP code to vendor.

That was just off the top of my head really. SR would have to invest in creating new forms and "types" of sales.

and while I understand that they are busy cooking something up for us here, im not sure that it will fall into this category.

Check my anti-scam idea in my sig. It's different from your system, and likely a little bit... easier/safer to implement.

Yeah. Like that.

I made my idea up as I sat here responding to this thread. I can see you put a bit of thought into yours.

I think you made one key assumption though; that SR would  or shouldn't charge a fee. They would. If htey should or not could be debated, but DPR don't do nothing for free, and I personally do not blame him.

He could cite all the time/effort put into creating this new back end as a reason, but he probably would never even offer any type of "excuse"

It is a real opportunity. The only thing I dont like about selling btc for mp's is that some ass hole would say he sent his MP when there was really nothing on it. I can see why having SR do the automatic verification on this would be needed. How about a third party verification system other then silk road that would be free to the btc vendor but a small charge to the buyer like another member of silk road. A trusted member. I dont mean me of course but if the mp checked out then there could be like a .2 charge or something and then the trusted meber would verify it but if there's nothing on the mp then there would be no chrge

She acted all offended up thread when someone barely made a poke a her and she responded being all sensitive and ish. But then here is a quote from her vendor profile:
Quote
Welcome to PRETTYWOMAN exchange spot Moneypak bitch!!!!!
 Trade with high confidence!!!
 I exchange at mtgox high.
I send coins from 1 hour up untill 24 hours.

MP bitch....WTF.

This person is totally a Eastern European Man. Im sure of it.

Wish I could bet someone and prove it.
