I'd love to be able to buy one on the road. If I could find somewhere to buy one in person with cash that'd be nice too.

There`s a university kid with access to them in the forums. Not really sure why you want to buy it on here, you can buy them on the clearnet or science shop.

I just wanted to avoid using a credit card for any lab equipment. I'll have to do some googling and see if any stores around here have them.

You can use your bitcoins to purchase pre-paid cards or purchase through a bitcoin accepting site. You can check the bitcoin wiki to find a list of sites/companies accepting bitcoins.

If you want a professional stirrer, ask lim like others have said. But honestly, they're not that difficult to make. google it.
Hope you get this sorted. :)

I got one on e-bay several years ago for $25. Corning hotplate/stirrer
I can understand being cautious about ordering lab supplies to your house but a hotplate/stirrer is not even on the radar.
Heck, I have a friend that bought a lab stirrer for his home bar, looks cool to watch your drink stir then reach in with a magnetic stir wand and take the stir bar out. HGTV did a home improvement show where they outfitted a home bar with lab glass. 50ml beakers for shot glasses, test tubes for shooters, Erlenmeyer Flasks for spirit storage, etc, etc It really looked cool and gave the place the mad scientist look.

Plenty of ex lab supply stuff in RL that can be bought with cold hard cash, nib=nus fees for BTC. If you have a credit card, you have money in the bank so withdraw and search chemist hobbyist forums for the cheap places to get basic lab equipment.
Improvise also. You can buy a small engine, and make a stirrer for less than it costs to buy one.
Good luck.

Don't put your hard drive near it LOLF

gah I dono why I didnt think to make one. It would be very easy. I suppose I am being over cautious but when buying everything to lay blotter every purchase seems like a huge clue :P Outfitting the kitchen with labglass would be fun >:D

Saw something in Make Magazine a while back on how to make your own... Somewhere they were selling kits to make too....
I wouldn't be worried about ordering... This won't tip your hand to LE IMO...
