I will make this guarantee - if you are patient and understanding, and realize that we are building a site like none other which has ever existed, while being actively investigated by multiple nation's federal police - if you take all that and the fact that everything we do we have to do anonymously into account - then you will be extremely impressed and happy with the end result.
DPR and Defcon and a dedicated team of programmers and security experts built this from the ground up - line by line of code. This is not a market built on top of commercial software - they built it and it is still a work in progress, and that is what you must understand. We launched in a beta mode - we refuse to push all these features out without taking the time to pen-test them and examine and mitigate every conceivable vector of attack so that your money and your identities remain safe and your body remains in your home and our of a cage.
Those of us who are in these moderator positions were chosen - we agreed to work (and, let me tell you, you guys really make me call this WORK sometimes) and put ourselves out there without financial compensation in any form until the cold storage was repaid. The escrow was repaid WAY ahead of schedule, and we prioritize what a large market with lots of money moving around must prioritize - SECURITY. To those who feel the need to call us scammers, lazy, incompetent, ignorant, and the many other unfounded insults tossed about daily - I'm sorry you can't see the big picture, but I will continue to fight for your right to be here, even if you are going to be short sighted.
To those of you who have money in escrow from buyers not coming back to finalize - I am sorry you are having to wait for this money and agree that it is unacceptable behavior for buyers not to finalize as soon as their product arrives and is tested. I can see why you are upset and frankly, I would be too. If I could, if any of us could, we would push a button and the legitimate purchases with happy buyers would be finalized - but you know that is not possible. We are doing the right thing - rather than have anyone lose money (buyers who dispute their orders), we are perfecting the system that will handle these cases fairly. This is taking longer than anticipated but I once again say, this is a darknet market with fraffic that has never before been seen on a hidden service, and we must focus on remaining as secure, and as hidden, as possible.
Every one of you reading my words right now have something in comming - you're here. That means this place means something to you. It means something to me, to Cirrus,Tang, ChemCat, DoctorClu, V, Defcon, Hux & the other developers too. Remember that we are all here here fighting a larger battle. Remember that Libertas, SSBD and Inigo are going through hell right now because they chose to step up and help fight this fight. We are all on the same team here and the small but loud crew of naysayers should take a step away from the keyboard and think about that for a moment before you make your next complaint about how SR is a pile of shit.
I'll be here and supporting this movement until we win the war against oppression or until I'm in handcuffs.

For everyone else - if a deposit is sent to SR (or anywhere else) and it does not appear on the blockchain, then it is an error on the part of the sender, not the receiving entity.
We are aware of the delay in deposits - it is caused by a multitude of factors, both a huge increase in transactions here and an enormous increase in transactions in the bitcoin network due to pricing fluxuation. We have zero control or influence over the bitcoin network.
As it goes until things settle down, please allow for deposit delays ranging from 4 hours to 24 hours. I know this is not ideal but until it becomes obvious that the situation has improved this should be the expectation. Please plan accordingly.

Thanks for reporting this. It is a known bug listed in the sticky at the top of this subsection under Vendor Bugs. Still, thanks for your vigilance in letting us know. Your constructive feedback is appreciated. I am sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you, however I am pleased that your business is such that your stock moves quickly! The workaround that many vendors have been using is to set the price obscenely high while you are out of stock and make a note on your main page. I understand this is laborious but it is the most effective immediate workaround.
