Title: withdraws paused
Post by: Dread Pirate Roberts on August 23, 2013, 01:07 am
hey, we got a spike in withdraws that hit up against the automatic shut off.  We're investigating it to make sure that's all it is and isn't something malicious and will get withdraws flowing again asap.

I just took the forum and main site down briefly.  We are back up now though and still getting to the bottom of the withdraw issue.  Please stand by.

Hi everyone! ;D
Is the pause on the withdraws affecting deposits as well? I deposited a bit ago and it has 10 confirms. If so, no biggie. Just curious.

Thanks for being awesome DPR!!

I'm not sure how long ago all this took place ( I don't understand SR time zone  =)  ) , but I made a deposit into my account about 6-7 hours ago that landed within an hour. Hope that helps you some. ..

Ugh, not being able to see where several thousand dollars of mine are is getting a lil frustrating. Hope things get fixed soon (or at least redeposited in my SR account so I can see it).

Smart feature (automatic withdraw pause when there's a lot of withdraws) to implement on the Road! That's why you're the Captain  :)

hi hi

would be smart, however that's not what happened to me.... a routine auto withdrawal left my SR wallet earlier, while the issue was going on, and has yet to hit any of my BTC addresses. i've already sent a message to support on it, but they must be pretty busy as it's still unread.  hopefully they will advise me on what's up soon....  if only that buyer finalized when he should have (days ago) i would have dodged this whole situation. grrrrr.....

Oh yikes. I hadn't thought of that. Well, you're in good hands so I'm sure you'll get it sorted out.

I believe this is what he meant when he mentioned being all caught up in a few hours.  You can only broadcast so many transactions in a given span of time, after all.

Best sysadmin ever.  Thank you for keeping us updated.  I've met no other sysadmin / owner that keeps their clientele updated as much as you do.  Much kudos!

DPR, could you PLEASE put updates on this in your original post instead of making new posts? It's much more convenient that way, and you used to do it like that in earlier times anyway...
