Yeah, I sent DPR a message back in May and he never responded.

Basically, DPR has long ago acknowledged Backopy of BMR, and vis versa. DPR has yet to acknowledge the existence of Atlantis and its administrator.

DPR's acknowledgement should be taken as the gift of legitimacy. Considering the vendor fee is $20 on Atlantis, its very appealing for us small people with a couple things to sell, but I wouldn't dream of opening an account without DPR's approval.

And I'm simply not interested in BMR.

Until the silk road is taken down, no competition could ever possibly pose a threat.

What is the address to Atlantis or other dark net sites? Does anyone have the addresses for them?

Absolutely.  I mean since it doesn't matter how much more convenient, profitable, or safe something is: simply by virtue of being the one and only Silk Road, everything else no matter how much better will always be inferior.

Er -- wait a minute here...... ;)

WooHoo I feel special, I sent DPR a LONG ass message one night (sober too). I doubt he read it all, but he responded with a sentence. LOL

The Silk road is home to the majority of the TOR network's users, and since its a marketplace, and not a singular entity, its content will be superior until another marketplace can acquire an equal or greater number of buyers and sellers and bring them together in a similar manner, which may require almost doubling the number of active TOR users.

Mathematically, another marketplace would be highly unlikely to thrive. The barrier for entry is $500 worth of bitcoin, and maybe a few other things depending on what someone would intend to sell, for the silk road. That is a fucking pittance to enough people who want to sell, that we have the variety of goods that we do currently have.

There are a variety of intricate and tinfoil hat worthy ways in which the silk road could be depleted of its users, but I find them all highly unlikely.

A note to add... The Silk Road is one of the few "old" institutions of the TOR network to still be around, and not exist as a laughingstock like hackBB. We have tryed and tested mechanisms to deal with attacks, which newer onions may not have.

I had trouble finding the actual SR hyperlink until I realized that just adding "onion" to your search query helps you find Tor sights a lot easier.

Search for "atlantis onion." Add "onion" to your search terms for any hidden Tor sites you want to find.
