For me the English are the best in black humor/satire,maby some ppl post here new ideas for me to watch :-*

Mr bean
The young ones
Only fools and horses
Shameless
Dumb and dumber U,S
+ i,ve read Tom sharpe he,s very hilarious ;)wish that his books were made into movies

Monty Python were the best, no doubt about it. :)
There are a couple of American standup comedians, unfortunately no longer with us, but I doubt they'd be new to you.
Firstly, Bill Hicks, of course :D
And George Carlin. Two heavy geniuses.
There's also Louis C K, but he's much shallower than the above two. Funny as hell, tho.

Hmmm Monty python was good but not the best imo,and the other American standup comedians you mentioned are unknown to me,i,ll find out if they,re funny:-)

As a black man I fucking hate Tyler Perry >:( He's doing our race a grave injustice and setting us back at least 15-20 years. I'm not a violent man but if I ever saw him in person I would have to beat him silly

And just finished showing was Bluestone 42, a comedy about an army bomb disposal squad in Afghanistan. Watch the first episode and you'll be hooked :)

Eddie Murphy in the 80's was the best.
Between his EPIC stand-up specials and gems like Beverly Hills Cop and Trading Places, he is unmatched.

I'm amazed nobody's mentioned Waiting for God yet; it's a cynical British sitcom. Though I suppose it's not so much "black" as "deeply cynical," but still: the third and fourth seasons are even on Netflix currently.
