Title: Withdraw bitcoins
Post by: grothendieck on April 10, 2013, 11:11 am
Hello !

First of all I'm sorry for my English skill.

Here is my problem : in November or December I register myself on silkroad, I put some Bitcoins via central-bitcoin on my account, I have done only one command (I remember the name of the seller).

There is always 1 bitcoin on this account (15$ in november, 200$ now...). I have forgotten my username (but I'm sure that i can find it, I'm just hesitating between 3 or 4 pseudonym), I have forgotten my passphrase and I have my pincode (juste hesitate between 2 but really sure sure it is one of this two).

I have just make one transaction so I don't care about my reputation, I don't want to find my passphrase. I just want to find my money.

I don't understand how bitcoins work. But with central-bitcoin I have access to "the https://blockchain.info" of my transaction. Maybe can I withdraw my money just with this information and my pincode ? Or maybe can I send a mail to my sellers to find my username and make a "passphrase request". But I think that there is no history...

Have you got any ideas to solve my problem ? I'm totally incompetent with bitcoin system so...

Thank you very much.

The forums are for advice; no one here (even the moderators) has any actual power on the Silk Road site.  What you need to do is create a new account, and using that new account send a message to support (should be a link on the bottom right of the home page after you're logged in).

In that message, tell them what you just said here basically, and that you'd like to have your password reset.  They may take several days to respond, and it may take several days after that to get anything done about it -- be warned, they're basically overworked 24/7.

Just remember, the forums are great for advice, but nobody here can actually do anything about your Silk Road account.  Once you've gotten your password reset and can log in to your account (the one with a bitcoin), you can withdraw it to whatever bitcoin address you want -- but you need access to your account, there's no way to get that bitcoin without it.

Okay, thank you very much. I just hopped an other way. I have sent a message to silkroad Support.
