The forum was down for me from around noon EST until just now .... so almost 12 hours. Was it down for everyone else as well?
I am also locked out of my account over on SR itself in spite of only accessing it via Tails, memorized URL, and never entering my PIN. I was successfully logged in until 4am EST, and now I'm locked out.
(I've contacted support -- nearly 10 hours ago now.)
So, tell me, anyone else have problems accessing the forums today? I kept getting a SMF error ...

It's been a bit on-and-off for me yeah and to be honest so has the Road which, is slightly annoying as I'm still trying to catch up.
The only answer to this is to go get a Burger King when it opens in a few hours. XL Bacon Double Cheese mother fuckers. Suck my balls.

I'm sorry to hear about your account scout, fingers crossed admin quickly resolve it for you, I hope we're not compromised :( I've been trying all night, can't hold a connection for longer than five minutes, as soon as I'm kicked off I get this:

Is everyone receiving the same message?

same smf forum error message for me over the last 12 hours, but i was able to log in to my sr account in that time.

Yep, I've also been getting the same forum error message on and off for the last 12+ hours. No problems with my SR account though.

Still locked out of my account with no word from the admins, staff, or DPR. Still getting those SMF errors until just now as well. :\

It could be the storm, I guess, but that wouldn't explain why I am now locked out of 2 accounts there.
I use Tails from a LiveCD on a computer that I use for nothing else. I haven't downloaded anything. I wasn't phished. I haven't entered a PIN anywhere. But I have no idea what is going on and no one is responding to me. I had over 24 coins in there.

Yes I did. It went back up again but timed out all the time. It's touch and go I'm afraid. The regular silk road site was up though. Interesting note, while I was typing this pm it went down again. Look:

I hope you get it resolved scout. You do a lot of good work here and always help members.
I get the admin are probably busy but they could at least let you mods know what is going on.
Btw the forums are still iffy. Had to post this twice.

... your account is locked out, Scout? Am I the only one who's concerned this wasn't a fuck up -- as in someone who thought the forum server had special access to the SR server and went all out either getting in or DoS'ing it long enough to prevent a response while spoofing its IP...?

I don't know what the hell is going on. Yes, my "scout" account is locked out and has been for over 24 hours. I have a vendor account as well which is now locked out since about 30 minutes ago.

You have no way of contacting admin! I hope what ever happened will be fixed fast. Is it even remotely possible that your account was locked to keep it safe from what ever happened.

I had quite a lot of downtime on the forum too. But i think it started more like 24h ago for me.
Got the same SMF error since 18+ hours or something. Some minor issues on SR too but nothing very annoying.
scout: You can't connect to SR or you can't log in ? If it's the second then maybe your password somehow got captured by someone ? I don't want to seem paranoid, but I don't see why only your accounts would be affected on SR.
The real question would be: Which of my passwords are similar and in that case is it coherent to the accounts I can't access ? It would be quite odd since Tails should be a pretty resilient system and a keylogger would be hard to install...

I can access SR just fine, but upon attempting to login I am given a "login incorrect" or something to that effect. Now I have one account left and am trying to get some help.
How could there be a keylogger on my Tails LiveCD/DVD?

I wasn't able to get on the forum for most if not all of yesterday and for a few hours today. I was a little scared and agitated. As you can see, I'm back....It feels so good.

Fortunately, I think I'm the only one who was locked out of two accounts. No one else has reported any issues today like that, except for me. And inigo reset passwords for me so I'm back into both accounts and no coins are missing, so it's all good. Granted, I'd love to know what happened ... but no one knows.

How could there be a keylogger on my Tails LiveCD/DVD?
Why would it be impossible for a keylogger to install itself on Tails ? Live CD still can read/write on RAM ? Most live systems lets you install and download things even though they will be deleted once the system shuts down.
A live CD doesn't make keylogging impossible as far as I know. But it's true that it may be much harder to do so.

Actually a few seconds after posting my other message in this topic, I just saw a topic created by someone mentionning he couldn't access his SR account. So maybe you were not the only one affected by this ? Unfortunately, I couldn't find that topic yet...

I haven't downloaded anything on this computer, nor anything while using Tails, so that's why I don't understand how this could have been a keylogger issue. it is a clean computer from which I only ever boot my Tails liveCD/DVD ...
Who knows. Really don't think it could've been a keylogger.
