Post by: KQueen on March 05, 2013, 01:36 pm
Can anyone shed some light as to what is happening with strongcoin, when we open the website we get this error:

"Error compiling CSS Asset"

anyone have any ideas???

Sounds like the administrator replaced the stylesheets with ones that contain syntax errors.

thanks for the reply, however it has now been over 4 hours that strongcoin has been inaccessible.  Has this happened before and do you really think that it will be up and running soon again?

What I'm saying is that it seems a lot more likely to me that the caretaker of the site screwed up.  It's possible somebody found an exploit and was able to upload a file that the site is trying to parse in some way and choking on, but I don't think there's much evidence of that yet.

I really have no clue what's going on.  All I can tell you is that a CSS asset is probably a .css file, a cascading style sheet that's used to format websites.  Why it's choking on that I can't say.
