Anyone elses tor browser retrains their active log in, IE after restarting the computer and also restarting the entire tor control panel + browser, that you are still logged in?
Also how can you disable it so that it doesnt retain your username automatically
-
That's definitely not how it's set by default. Something is very wrong -- you must have played with the settings, I assume? Or disabled an addon, or added one, or something?
go to "about:config" (no quotes), and search for the following keys, setting them as shown:
privacy.clearOnShutdown.cookies default true
network.cookie.cookieBehavior default 1
(just setting them back to the default is fine)
As for passwords, you can just go to Edit -> Preferences, then click on the Security tab. Then uncheck "remember passwords".

I havent played with any settings or touched any addons, but ill check those config settings now
-
Both my settings were as you listed...
network.cookie.cookieBehaviour was userset integer 1
so the value was still the same.

I don't know what to tell you. Delete the Tor browser bundle, re download it, and use the new copy. Don't copy it over to the same location. Delete the old one, and use a fresh new one.

Did SS advise above fix the problem Tango?

Seems like some sort of firefox/Mozilla update. My torbrowser started the same crap. When you go in thru the re torbrowser button at the top and into options and security and histories etc.. it is all set to record and save passwords like the normal Mozilla
set up. These are usually disabled. Mine also changed suddenly
Now i cannot get logged into silkroad at all...is silkroad down?

That's... like, super disturbing. If they actually changed suddenly, then I'd be very suspicious. I mean like it's almost guaranteed that you have some form of malware that's doing it. I think the Tor bundle comes with updates disabled... but I can't be sure about that. If it does though, either you changed the settings, or something else did. Nothing has a reason to even be aware of those let alone to go changing them, unless it's a specific malware that has a reason to.
So I repeat: that's like, super disturbing. Please be sure of exactly what you've observed directly if you say more about it.

Seems after doing the 'security' update on the tor browser has fixed it.
