Title: Sell Ad Space On SR home Page

Sell ad space on the SR home page use the revenue to help maintain the site. Google Type format  ads on top of page  vendor relevance in first position ect...

This would typically not be seen in a free market. Plus it promotes less customer choice. He who has the most money should not be the most powerful.

Actually, it's not a bad idea.  I mean I laughed out loud when I saw the subject, but he's got a point.  I think google ads would be... well, no, let's not go there.  Just not compatible.  Too much oversight required.  Etc., etc..  But something like Keen: let vendors "bid" on the front page.  Whoever wins ends up on the front page that hour.  100% automated, clean, easy, and no oversight required.

google ads? yeah, i dont see anything here that might violate their TOS.


anyways whats up with all these "raise funds for SR" threads, DPR is a fucking multimillionarie as a result of this site. he doesnt need more money, he needs to stop being such a cheapass and add servers and staff.

I did not mean to get google involved. I meant for SR to sell the ad space and use format like google. paid ads on top of page, and first position in order of relevancy same criteria as google uses

I'd link someone's vendor page on my signature (it'd of course say who's vendor page it is, and most importantly, that it is not MY vendor page).
