Im a buyer and SR is so slow that it usually takes me around 15 minutes to get logged in.

If sellers had priority bandwidth it could end up taking 20-30 minutes for me to get logged in.

Honestly, if SR gets any slower Im not going to use it much at all and I think that many others would do the same.

If buyers stop using SR as much because it takes way too long to get logged in then this is only going to hurt sellers.

I agree with duckman, this is an issue of DPR being cheap and not buying more bandwidth and servers. As far as answering messages faster go check out SelfSovereignty's new program metasilk

Title: Download Orders as Batch - do things out of REST
Post by: maxhavelaar on March 30, 2013, 01:23 am
REST is not made for Tor or vice versa. Use other simple but effective methods. For instance formatted text, download all your listings as formatted text, edit them or add new to them according to strict location and a parser can take all that burden from the webserver and just work through a mailbox receiving textfiles where vendors can quickly ajust all their listings, while getting out of the flow of doing the orders and moving on by waiting a minute for transactions to go through.
