Title: Why does it say "You Have Insufficient Funds In Your Account"?
Post by: drzoyburg on February 06, 2013, 02:23 am
It shows I have 0.91 Bitcoin in my account, and I'm trying to place an order that costs exactly that, including shipping.  But the system won't let me, and shows me the message "You Have Insufficient Funds In Your Account."  Why is this?

You need to have 0.01 more than your order I'm pretty sure

It's because Silk Road is rounding.  Bitcoins are divisible to 8 decimal places; it's rounding that to 2.  It says you have insufficient coins because it's lying to you about your balance, basically.

This is interesting to note, I will definitely keep that in mind for future purchases.
