Even in the 10 days that I've been here, they have gone up almost £2 per BTC..
Just glad that vendors adjust accordingly!
-
haha, good question.
I remember I used to buy like 50 coins for 200€ or something.
If only I would've bought more....... :/
But yeah, it's kind of nice to see the currency gain more value. :)
-
I remember when I was a skeptical lurker about 6 months ago.. I believe bitcoins were somewhere around 8-10 dollars.
I really wish I would have invested in them when they were apparently $2.. I would have loved to be a bitcoin millionaire..lol
-
They were $5.00 US dollars + change when I started using Silk Road. Also, this is in the wrong category... :)
-
I first logged in when BTC was 20 dollars back around 2 years ago. I didn't start using as frequently until they were ~5 (frequently fluctuating from 4.5-6)
And yea this is in the wrong category
-
They were €4 each when I started. If I knew then, what I knew now, i'd be loaded :)
-
I'd say they were around $7.50 when I first started. I'd buy so much more back then if my job wasn't so bipolar with me working
-
~13$. very profitable economy to invest in you investors. if i had the money i'd buy like 1k BTC and hold on to those bitches and like triple my money invested. Hmmm....
-
Either $8 or $12. I was like woah that seems expensive. (Even though it's all the same because vendors adjust accordingly, of course). I was even more of a newb than I am now lol
-
$2-3. It was a big deal when it hit $5 lol.
-
When I started out here and looking into bitcoins etc they were around $12 AUD/ per BTC. Now it's up around the $18~ mark.
-
I started using SR right when the BTC market took the big plunge ( middle of last year I believe ? ) and went down to I think around 4 - 5 USD a coin... should have stocked up then. Would have made a pretty penny. Hahaha.
-
3.5 gbp
Was smart enough to hold onto some when it hit 7gbp, wish i had waited a year though would have made crazy money without the illegality
-
damn it was at $5.50 usd wishing i had just stocked up back then and held onto them
-
Yeah, about £3.30 for me, really wish I'd held on to to some, coulda made £10 per coin!
-
was around 12-13usd each when is started
-
it was about $6USD when i started
-
Around $10 USD
-
$11 USD!
-
They were 10 when I started. Now just recently I loaded 840 bucks for a zip of molly, In two days it went to 890. BOSS
-
Last April when I started a buyers acct out on SR it was about $4-5 USD for BTC's- I remember not using the account for awhile as I was traveling but I'd check things out, but did not have a ship to so it was window shopping only -the BTC's had almost doubled buy the summer of 2012 when I started back
-
It was approx. $3.50 -$4 when I started using SR. I remember buying I gram of Coke and paying 43 BTC for it. (I live in Australia so I'm aware the price is outrageous) where as some Aussie vendor's selling 1 gram of Coke are now charging approx 16 BTC.
-
When I joined, about three weeks ago, ฿1 was equal to £9 ...the highest I've seen it though is £16 ..so yeah, not gonna be stocking up for a good while yet.
I have noticed however, that some vendors are everso slightly adjusting their btc prices, in accordance with the sharp rise..

I'd say that's because the vendor has pegged their listings against the dollar, meaning the price will change with the fluctuation between the two currencies. When the Bitcoin appreciates, your prices will fall. When it depreciates, they will rise. In any event, you'll get the same dollar value for your item. :)
-
13USD , I use USD as the measure because for the moment it is still the defacto global currency. I cant say I have noticed much change in vendor pricing. Although they may be taking some hit in the other direction if they sold and held prior to the crash.
-
When I first started using SR it was actually around the same price as it is now, might've been closer to $30, hard to remember that long ago
-
The first Bitcoins I ever bought (didn't use them on SR) I paid $1 each for and that was well above market price, but I was feeling generous :) I really wish I would have dumped $8-10K at that point, but I thought they would never get above $5... i was wrong
-
2-3 dollars each - wish i had kept a couple thousand of those for now :P
-
HAHA!
I thought I was the only one that thought about how much BTC has grown.
When I first got on The Road, BTC was mid to late $4 USD range.
Not surprised, but never expected it to grow the way it has in the past several months.

Ah, I seeeeee. Yeah, that makes sense. Thanks for that. :)
-
It was around 12usd or 13usd like 3 months ago when i started using SR. I think that when i first got into the DW it was around 30usd
-
somewhere around £3-4. would have been great to invest for the huge returns but at the same time dumb as shit to invest in something you know nothing about so its ok
-
Coins were about $11/per.. This was about 5months ago. Wish I wou;d've kept more money in my SR acct. Was just to paranoid to leave them there.
-
I have not been watching them that long, but in the last week in the UK, they have gone from £12.5 to £16.57 at Blockchain
