Would this be accepted on the forums? I'm talking bets of 1BTC or under to avoid scammers and such. Such a hassle to bet legally in the U.S unless you live in a select area. I'd love to bet on some NHL games or the SuperBowl

The problem with betting of any type, is that it would work on the honor system. Now 9 out of 10 might pay up if they lose, but there will always be the ones that would not.
So you would need some type of moderator or wallet to hold all bet's. Would be a hassle.

I didn't know it was illegal to bet in the U.S. Doesn't make sense that alcohol and tobacco are legal and gambling isn't! Sounds like another form of control :(

I've never come across a Bitcoin gambling site on the Internet that requires some sort of ID. Most are just "create an account, deposit some BTC, have fun". Nothing more than that.

Not sure what you mean about 'to avoid scammers', but SatoshiDice seems to be the place to gamble BTC.

Oh yeah, forgot... https://sealswithclubs.eu is a mildly popular online poker site that exclusively uses bitcoins. Run by good people, from what I read of them. Kind of guys who set things up so that they can tell the US to go fuck themselves when they come knocking to regulate, ya know.
