Basically, I go to check out, and when I click purchase, the account page shows up with the red text "Error: Please log out and log in then try again."
I obliged, and when I tried to log back in, I was met with "Login failed, please try again". I was met with this over 40 times until I gave up and watched a movie. A couple of hours later I made a new account to talk to support, then tried my main account again, and got in.
I went to my cart, put in my PIN, and BAM, back to the account page with "Error: Please log out and log in then try again."
I retried to purchase 15 times, nothing. So, I decided to empty my cart and relog. Same problem as before, can't get in. This is really frustrating....

I hear your frustration .
It is even proving difficult to log into the damn forum !
Why can't they issue a curtesy notice to all it's clients that they're having difficulties rather than keep notably and rudely silent especially for new and unsuspecting clients that think they've been doing something wrong and not the other way round ... surely a bit of customer service isn't too hard for them for goodness sake .....

I tired again after leaving it for a few hours and the same shit. Not even a notice nothing. Great timing considering xmas and the public holidays all fall during the week which in most countries means delivery of only a few days for two week xmas new year period.
Hate to be a new vendor that handed over 500 bucks and havent been able to sell anything in this busy time of the year.

Thanks for the replies all.

Tried to place my first order today and I'm facing the same problem :(
Thought the whole time I did anything wrong, at least that doesn't seem to be the case...or?

No, you aren't doing anything wrong (I think). A few hours after my error/log out, I was suddenly able to log back into my account. I tried to repeat the purchase, only to receive the same error a dozen times. So, I cleared my cart and re-logged, only this time it's 10 hours later and I'm still locked out. I created a new account that I can log in and out of at will (using it to bitch at SR support), so I guess this seems to have something to do with the actual buying process?
Also, can any experienced users comment on whether this could be because I didn't use the escrow system? Is this system truly necessary? Could not using it create errors?

Are there actual admins or moderators that can fill us in on just what the fuck is going on? I feel like a moron just trying to login to my own account over and over and over. Can we get some official word on this, SR?
-
Hope you're not holding your breath Smurf for that request ......... gggrrr makes you sick doesn't it .
-
SR sucks at the moment, huh?
Doing same stuff to me minus the not letting you sign in. It let me sign in, but the "log out, log in, and try again" keeps hittin me....
-
same thing for me... go to check out, either says i didnt choose shipping ( i did ) or i get the error saying log out then back in and try again
-
i am a vendor 4 days ago now after the sr attack. i redid all my listings with pics 6 hrs . now all my listings are gone and i can not log ino my sr account to do anything, so not only do my customers not have access to buy my stuff, but i do not have access to my 5 figure account. lets get someone on this now .its christmas most busy time and i have no listings and no access to my MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMPORTANT
SR Support got back to me, and told me that if you are getting the "log out/log in" error, then either relog or refresh Tor entirely. HERE is how you get it to work:
- Refresh Tor.
- Login to SR
- Go to your Shopping Cart
- Place your order PERFECTLY ON THE FIRST TRY. This means setting your shipping and clicking the "Go!" button to confirm your shipping and making sure your PIN is correct. I've only received the relog error once or twice when I get everything right on the first try. If I screw something up (usually forgetting to confirm shipping), then every attempt thereafter will give the relog error until I actually log out or refresh Tor.
As far as my logging in, I'm just a complete fucking idiot and was actually entering the wrong username. My SR username is roastedsmurf, and I was very tired when I made this (being tired, I forgot what my actual SR login was, smokedsmurf is also more catchy), so I got the account names screwed up :-[

This disturbs me. I mean this seriously, seriously disturbs me. Why the FUCK does rebooting or restarting the Tor program fix this? It shouldn't. There should be NO REMNANT OF THE SESSION for Christ's sake. Yo, Nightcrawler, astor... where the fuck are you guys, lol... what am I missing here? Why is this not a massive vulnerability? The fact that it's even possible -- even if it's only the SR server itself -- suggests to me that there's information leakage that shouldn't be there?

Yeah, I kept getting the same thing yesterday when I tried to check out. Very frustrating to say the least, but hopefully DPR and everyone are currently working on this issue.
