Title: Any stories of arrests?
Post by: Tadakichi on December 10, 2012, 04:21 am
Hi, Im wondering if there's ever any fake sellers that are actually cops, then the buyer gets busted or if there's any chance a buyer get's busted.  This is going to be my first time purchasing something from SR, and I'm gonna buy DMT from a seller called trc. He has over 117 sales with a 100% positive feedback so I'm thinking it's probably safe.

Thanks

Any vendor worth their shit is going to have a review thread here on the forums.  The feedback system is good, but you should always read review threads before making a purchase.    It isn't too common (I believe), but I'm pretty sure its possible to manipulate the feedback system and make it look legit when its actually not.  On the forums, you can see actual reviews from actual, well established names on the road and be sure that you will receive quality product.

A quick forum search returned this-

So, he's got a review thread, but no reviews.  I'll let the more experienced members here take over now, just thought I'd guide you in the right direction.  I am just as new to this as you are, and as of right now I can't say much about 117 sales and 0 thread reply reviews- I'm just not sure if that is common or taboo yet.

I'm going to go on record here as saying the feedback system is shit.  Never trust it.  It's a useful guide -- if the guy's in the 80s, fuck that, don't bother with the forum search.  If he's in the 90s, check the forums and look hard -- sometimes it's hard to find the few guys they've scammed, but often you'll find them and that's that.  No ordering from them, who wants to be the next scammed customer.  Lots of selective scammers around that get away with it and do it as a rule of business.

If the guy's got 100, still check the forums.  There are ways to manipulate your SR rating.  Seriously, the forum is the only reliable way and only reliable if you put in the time to wade through what people say about the vendor in question.  Almost everyone has at least a few people claiming they're legit, even if they've never fulfilled an order in their life.

Yeah man forums will be your best friend when it comes to researching your next buy. It's crucial that you research and watch vendors over time, and bookmark the ones who you know for fact are legit and trust able.
