When you click on a product category, you get the product's opening page. Before the viewer resorts by choice, what is the default sort? It is not alphabetical by merchant's name or by the words in the listing. Nor is it by price. Nor is it by seniority. Nor is it by customer rating, unless the best goes last.

I clearly remember it saying right there -- popularity. Most ordered.
... doesn't it still say that?

Oh, what you're getting at is that you suspect that isn't the sort, it's just the option that's by default sitting there?
If that's the case, then it's the order of them in the database backend -- whatever that happens to be. Which has nothing to do with anything, except the database and its optimization algorithms, more or less.

That's what I meant. The present method is an oversight on the part of the program and a disservice to the merchants. There should be a merit-based default sort.

It actually looks like Bestselling is the default sort, but that it doesn't work. I'm listed below a newer merchant with zero sales
