Title: Quick Question About Tor Use on Private Networks

i am planning to use my university internet to log into silk road but am curious to if the university could see this activity on their network and link it to me? in brief is it ok i do this? thanks for any answers in advance

You mean your university provided internet connection?  No, no worries really.  Some universities have aggravating policies, like no torrenting, etc..  I know some prohibit Tor, but since you're posting to the forums here, yours apparently allows it.

They'll know you're using the Tor network.  That's all but impossible to hide.  They shouldn't care or have any clue what you're doing with it (unless they assume only hackers and drug buyers use Tor, but still, that would be their assumption -- not based on evidence).
