Hello stevie2747,

It's normal. Just 3 days ago I had some come through that I sent from my wallet to the SR account that took 10 days. Now that is extreme and I'm hoping by tomorrow you will see it arrive. Use this site to check if it's in the process. If you see it here you will get it:

http://blockchain.info/

See the dialogue box. Copy and past your address into it.

Hope that helps

i am also having a similar problem, wish i had of read this post sooner. Is anyone able to advise if this an issue between mt.gox and SR? I am 3 days without funds. Didnt realise this was a common issue, so emailed mt.gox and SR to report the problem, although havent heard back from either party, today is Sunday so thats why.

i dont want to have to wait 10 days. Will not be using mt.gox again. Plus it cost me a lot of money to wire funds to Mt.Gox as its an international transfer.

just want to be able to get my stuff, so annoying!!

I've never heard of it taking 10 days.  Nor 3 days.  Not unless the person had to contact support and have them manually finish the deposit because for whatever reason, SR's automated system didn't properly register the bitcoin transfer.  You're saying you waited 10 days, and it just automatically showed up after that long...?

Check blockchain.info, turboted.  Paste the bitcoin address on your account page (the one for depositing bitcoins) into the search field on blockchain and see how many confirmations your transaction has.  6 confirmations is considered "written in stone," by just about everyone everywhere.  That's when I see my coins pop up in my account most of the time -- around 5-6 confirmations.

Also, don't be alarmed if you see the coins getting sent to some other random bitcoin address.  That's just SR's mixing system.  It doesn't mean you lost them -- as long as your Silk Road account gets credited, where those coins end up doesn't really matter (at least not for you as a buyer).

Thanks for this but can I clarify what you mean exactly... I have been on the searched and it came back with results but which text refers to confirmations... is it written in blue text on the left? There is a list of four long digit codes in blue on the left below confirmed transactions, but i still dont understand because its over 3 days now.... i need these bitcoins to show up in SR account :(

Yeah, it's not the easiest thing to read... basically all you have to pay attention to is that you're looking at the correct bitcoin address, and the number in the blue box that should say "X confirmations" on the right-ish side of the page.  It's a blue rectangular button next to the green or red one that lists the amount of the transaction.

I think it's the amount of the transaction in the blue or red one... but whatever that number actually is, it's a red or green button, lol.  If you see more than 1 or 2 confirmations, email SR at the support link at the bottom of the main page ("contact us" link) and tell them what address you sent the coins to and that it's been 3 days without them showing up.  That's what I'd do, at least.

I am having the same issue. I sent btc directly to my SR wallet via bitinstant at around 2 pm today( now 7 Pm) and I still have not received my coins in my account. I looked at the bitinstant email and the wallet address is correct. I also searched my wallet address blockchain.info and It says no transactions. I sent bitinstant an email. Every other transaction has taken around 2 hours total from the time I paid the money to money gram. First time I have had any issues. If bitinstant attempted to send the coins I should see something on the block chain right??

Yes, definitely.  Bitcoins are completely independent of Silk Road, and that bitcoin address associated with your account has nothing to do with SR.  Bitcoins > SR, is what I'm saying -- the problem seems to be with BitInstant.  That's troubling.
