Looking for that same stimulating feeling as ritalin/adderall for school purposes, what would be a cheap alternative? something that I can take orally and has minimal side efffects? thanks!

Well I believe dex is d-amphetamine and adderall is a-amphetamine, so likely amphetamine sulfate (speed) would be the most similar, and it arguably the cheapest substance on the road at about 10-20 USD a gram

Dexies are a good option they are made in lab conditions.
The speed is made in a jungle lab - i think the OP was after pharmaceutical grade but i may be wrong

I like Ephedrine more than Ritalin honestly and its OTC. Ritalin sucks dick.

You get the same kind of feeling from orally taking ritalin as you did from adderall? Wow... I could never tell I took it unless I snorted it. I mean literally, I once tried taking what I remember being a massive dose (this was years and years ago), and I couldn't even feel it.
Nothing will work as well as adderall. Dexedrine or vyvanse will probably work just as well, but they're practically the same thing. Adderall is dextroamphetamine sulfate, dextroamphetamine aspartate, amphetamine sulfate and amphetamine sacharate. Ignore the all the sulfates, etc. They're just what the amphetamine is bound to. Dexedrine is dextroamphetamine hydrochloride. Vyvanse is... something, I don't remember, but it's amphetamine basically.
Those are all about the same price on SR. The speed you get will definitely not work as well as pharmies. See the speed review thread for an extensive discussion of this.

All the ADHD pharma here seems to be college priced. It might seem scary at first, but I'm in the same position as you and seriously considering buying some meth and taking it orally in the same dosage that i would adderall

Vyvanse = Lysdexamfetamine (a pro-drug with Lysine attached so the drug turns into Dextro-amphetamine only when it is ingested and processed in the stomach/intestines. This gives it like a half XR type of length, very gradual and smooth come up and come down with long plateau but not too long so you cant sleep like Addie XR. I'm prescribed, its the best.

You need a mg scale to get it that precise. If you go for it anyway, try Hammertime. Or read the meth review thread; lots of good vendors around at the moment. And start really small. I mean you really don't need a very large chip to feel it. 50-100mg is a lot smaller than those pills -- they're mostly filler. It's a replacement for adderall. Not a great one, but it gets the job done, for the most part. Just take it sparingly. Amphetamines really are extremely habit forming.

Maybe phentermine (sp?) also known as Adipex. Its has similar pharmaology as amphetamine I do believe. Its prescribed as a diet pill, but with a controlled dosage. Maybe reasearch that and see if its comparable to what your looking for.

A buddy of mine said that before ADD/ADHD blew up he would take small doses of speed (it's really cheap too) with small doses of xanax. I've never tried it but I can see how it worked out for him.

I really wouldn't recommend phentermine. For one, it didn't really work very well for me personally and I've never heard of it being prescribed for ADHD. For two, after abusing it for a few weeks many years ago, I started getting chest pains. They've never gone away. Very rare, maybe once or twice a week, but it's always concerned me. Only happens after I eat though, so I think it's probably a stomach valve or something and not my heart. I don't really know. You may react differently, of course, but again: I wouldn't recommend it.

Really? Ive heard of it causing chest pains while taking it, but never heard of long lasting chest pains after stopping it. I suggested phentermine because adderall also has similiar pharmaology as amphetamines. Phentermine generally isnt prescribed for ADHD, but should work based on the pharmacology as well as the pharmokentics of both drugs. Its a better, safer option than meth as someone suggested.

oh and its a much cheaper option than any of the things listed.....it generally costs anywhere from $15-$30 for a 30 day presecription

I don't mean to be rude, but adderall does not have a similar profile to amphetamines. It is amphetamines. I mentioned the four amphetamine salts that are in it earlier in the thread if you'd like to look.

I find meth to be a less effective option, and since you *can* smoke it or snort or whatever, the temptation to start abusing it may not be a good choice for some people to have around. It's still the best alternative that I've found.
It's possible the pain I'm referring to actually has nothing to do with the phentermine. I mean just because I started feeling it while taking the drug doesn't necessarily mean it was caused by it. I also drink coffee, but I don't think coffee caused it... :) Would be a big coincidence, but stranger things have happened than a coincidence like that. Or perhaps I have some extremely mild dysfunction that was triggered or made worse by it. Who knows.

i do believe we are saying the same thing, just different wording. Phentermine is an amphetamine as well. Amphetamines are used to treat ADHD, and there for in theroy phentermine might be a cheap alternative to Adderall/Ritalin, it might work for some, and not for others. Also I didnt mean to sound like dout your pain, just had never heard that as a side effect. One thing you might look in to is maybe it caused an ulcer in your stomach, and when you eat or drink something it upsets it? IDk just a random thought.

Ritalin: ethylphenidate, MDPV (be careful with this one, taken orally it is a VERY wonderful ADD med. follow DrPVMD's advice on it)

Definitely glad you made that clear, I was about to buy a bunch of speed as a dex replacement.. :o
