Since I can't buy or even browse cannabis strains, this seems like a good time to send a shout out to the Mods, Admin, DPR and everyone else who works so tirelessly on the SR (look at all the spam Guru has to clean up today!)
Thank you!
Merci!
Danke!
Gracias!
Obviously we can't do this now but I nicked this from a squidShepherd sticky:
APPRECIATE OUR MODS? SLIP ON OVER TO SR and SEND 'EM A COIN

I do not agree with this statement but sorry you feel that way. The Marketplace will be back, perhaps within a few hours, eh? We just need to have a bit of patience.
Peace

I'm a vendor, and I've been locked out since Monday. MONDAY, dude. A few hours? I wish.

Monday?? I've been using all aspects of SR at will without any issues beyond temporarily being unable to connect to the Marketplace. If you've been locked out since Monday maybe it's time to look at there being something wrong with your system, eh? Are you using an off-the-shelf Windows machine? If you are, send me a PM. might be able to help. If not - I feel your pain, sorry dude! ~cheers

I want to agree with the OP. Thank you for all you do. I've been here long enough to know this is not a scam, and realize you are understaffed for such a task. It's not like you can put an ad in the paper looking for help, or hire some consulting firm without becoming a beacon for LEO. So even though there are many that accusing scam please do not pay attention to those comments. They are just newbies that don't know better.
Thank you for all of that you do.

I've been here since a couple months since it opened. I vaguely remember downtime and people panicking. It will come back. It always has.

Firefox to login SR, restart tor + os if login fails, apparently add /index.php for new users if u can't login since Monday.

I'd like to give a shout out to all our vendors as well, the products on this site are among the very best available. Healthy competition has kept prices reasonable and quality top-notch. Silk Road is one of the best things that ever happened to me.

Add to that: If you're running Windows and you don't perform regular maintenance to clean up temp files, junk files & fix registry problems, etc you should probably be doing that maintenance now.
If you lack the skills to clean up your Windows machine, then you may want to research, find & install a utility to do the maintenance for you because SR will eventually trash your machine to the point that the machine doesn't have the resources to connect to the Marketplace, eh?
If you need help finding a maintenance utility, here's a good starting point; some are free downloads, some you have to buy:

Good luck!
Just my .02 cents: for one, you don't need to reboot the entire computer if you can't connect. I don't think that'll help much. Just get a new identity. Two, most programs I've seen people use to "take care of their registry," or "keep their system clean," ended up causing more harm than they actually fixed. Either the program itself, or the combination of it running with other bloatware (or even with an antivirus). Windows 7 is pretty good at taking care of itself. Just use an antivirus program, and don't go letting things fuck with your registry unless you're pretty damn sure that's actually one of your problems. Windows XP gets messy after a few years, but reinstalling is the only thing that really solves that for long. Windows 7 takes care of itself fine as far as I've seen.
Pardon me for flat out disagreeing, but there's no way SR will bog down the entire operating system until it doesn't connect anymore. Be careful what you install, especially when you're trying to stay anonymous...

I just wanted to echo the sentiments - kudos to DPR & Co., obviously most of us here dabble in a little this a little that, and from some of the posts I've read ("OMFG DPR could be half-way to Honolulu!?!") - and I can sympathise I've a decent-sized order in limbo - some of us might be letting the dwindling of our stashes impair our judgements.
This isn't fucking Craigslist, occasionally shit's gonna go awry, but I for one, and I'm sure most of us here, absolutely respect this place and the community and wouldn't want anything we did, or anyone else, to jeopardize it.
And I don't know a whole lot about the folks running it, but the impression I get is that they feel the same way. So I too will be spending the rest of the night elsewhere confident that come tomorrow, or maybe the next day, normal service will have resumed and all will again be right in the world.
Peace out folks :D
