Title: 24 Hours
Post by: Twelve_Pickles on November 10, 2012, 02:27 pm
Is the exact amount of time that i have not been able to even access the login page for the road.

has anyone had any sporadic luck gaining access or are we all pretty much in the same boat.
i can only feel for those who are in resolution centre or facing auto-finalize right now...

Vending under these conditions is near impossible.  TP, Did your order arrive safely?

confident that the orders in transit will arrive. twitchy times for the community. Hope you are well GG!

We are all in the same boat, it almost seems like no-one is gaining access at this stage. If anything the whole site should be put on hold, instead of allowing small amounts of 'lucky' people to log in, and make orders that will most definitely not be processed in the near future. No doubt feedback will get thrown off and AF is going to be one massive headache for SR staff >.<. I personally lost contact with the marketplace on Thursday afternoon, and have not been able to log on since. Fingers crossed it'll be up tomorrow  :'(

The invalid warnings are because Firefox is adding "www." to the beginning of the URL and trying again when it fails to connect with the real one.  You can change that in about:config under "prefix" if you want to.  Just set it as blank instead of "www".

SelfSovereignty is right, it is not TOR at all, it is the site and your getting that error because of the www. Well answered SS.

I was able to receive over 500 in Bitcoin yesterday at SR and was able to place 2 orders successfully before later in the day being unable to log in again. Assize from having a 219 dollar balance I am unable to access now I am unable to access the site to see if the orders were received and in transit.

I also have 2 outstanding orders placed over a month ago that were never received that I was tryin to work out with the vendor.

Is there anyway to gain access to my Bitcoin? At very least I beleive there should be some sort of process for buyers and sellers alike to gain access to withdraw there Bitcoin off of SR to prevent the possibility of total loss for everyone who has funds hanging in the balance for transactions that have not been finalized or marked in transit as well as lingering account balances. It seems like a complete travesty to possibly lose thousands of dollars or more or less.

At this point fuck the drugs I just want my money...

Something that I do and I think a lot of others here do is have a wallet outside of SR for reasons like this where you keep your coins and deposit to SR what you are going to use, nothing more.. What if SR ever goes down for good and you have 500$ worth of BTC stuck on there you will never get back?? This is the exact reason I started a campbx account so I have somewhere to keep my BTC if SR ever goes down so I can still contact vendors through tor mail and still put in orders and what not.. Obviously this isn't going to help you now  but something to consider for the future so you don't get stuck in a position like the one in your now...

I don't think there's any possible way to get your BTC out of your SR account without having access to the account.  I imagine SR just owns all of our bitcoin addresses basically, and when it receives a transfer it credits our accounts and starts passing around the BTC to filter it or whatever.  In order to get BTC out of a bitcoin address, you need the private key for that address, and only DPR and his guys (or whoever wrote the software, you know what I mean) would know how to find that out and/or use it without being on the account page.
