Title: constant problem Logging in Silkroad
Post by: capealava on November 10, 2012, 05:25 am
After months of successful logging in with http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion-I now cannot log in. I receive this message. I have been trying all day. I have orders in progress. ANY HELP OUT THEIR PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

One of your applications tried to establish a connection through Tor to "www.silkroadvb5piz3r.onion", which Tor does not recognize as a valid hostname. Please check your application's configuration.

cape - The new tor bundle has some strange behavior. When it tries to refresh a url it sometimes adds a www prefix. Make sure you delete it. Silk Road is not www.anything.
Moot point at the moment as SR is down anyway.

If you open the "about:config" page (as though it were a website, just type it in the URL bar), you can change it so that it doesn't try adding "www." to the address if it fails to find it the first time. Just change "browser.fixup.alternate.prefix" to be blank. You may want to change "...suffix" from ".com" to blank too.

Everyone can stop panicking and spreading misinformation. An admin has posted about the situation here: http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=70572.0
The only thing left to do is wait patiently and stop making threads asking the same questions.
