Reviews without names are pretty useless. And lastly, you can't trust the feedback on the market -- as you've now discovered, hence all the review threads you'll find in the Rumor Mill.I understand that batches will vary in quality, but when trying to make up for sending an order of terrible gear I would expect the vendor to make sure the quality of the next one was acceptable, if not outstanding. I very politely made him aware of what I received, and even told him that if he was dealing with bad product for the time being that I'd be more than happy to wait until he got his shit figured out to have my replacement sent. Shit happens, and I was understanding the first time. What I find unacceptable is that he sent the makeup plus the additional order I bought as a sign of good faith knowing that it was not quality product. Also I get that it's a review thread, but I wans't going to say who it was until I had talked to him directly first.Yeah, that's usually good form... I see your point. Here's what you have to keep in mind though: a lot of vendors handle very large volume. There isn't enough time for one person to do everything, so it's a few people usually. Couple packaging, one or two dealing with customer service, etc.. They package ahead of time and just label the things, generally. Then pick one up, toss it in a box, and set it aside for the next time they go mail things out. So when you complain, they think "well, not everybody did, guess some of this lot sucked... let's make him happy and give him another package."So you get another package. From the same batch. Already prepackaged. Fuck, it could have been packaged at the same damn time as the initial one even. They just don't have the time to test every single package before it goes out. I mean some of these guys are dealing with pounds of this stuff, man. Even half an ounce when you're used to that kind of volume is absolutely nothing, why would you bother testing every one of those, ya know?Just food for thought.
