So here's the problem: the qualities of the shards has more to do with the environment they're in at the time of crystallization than the quality/purity of the meth. It's a little like ice; the slower it freezes, the more impurities get pushed out and the purer the actual H2O is. Flash-freeze something like frozen food and it's almost perfectly preserved. Slow-freeze something, for example some frozen food that you've accidentally left out, and it's a totally different process almost -- the expansion of the water causes the cells of the vegetables to rupture, it gets kind of mushy and doesn't taste as good, etc., etc..There are also cuts for meth that are virtually identical in properties. When I say virtually identical, I mean virtually identical. The melting point differs by as little as 5-10 degrees and the stuff is even the same molecular weight per mole as meth.So you have to ask yourself: is the guy you're getting this from doing it PROPER like, is he taking his time and doing what needs to be done to get the best possible product? Or is he fucked up after 2 weeks on his own gear and crashing so badly he just wants the batch finished so he can do some more? Or is he just some nameless dude who looked it up online and thought it'd be profitable, but doesn't know how to finish the process like a chemist? You could be grabbing the shittiest most cut-ridden shards by grabbing the largest clearest ones, ironically.I'm not a chemist, but I believe that the actual process and care with which you finish after you've actually created the methamphetamine molecule (as in the stuff you do post-cook) is what matters most when it comes to the properties of the shards. Let them crystallize very slowly and take a long time, and you'll get very large, very clear shards. Do it in a hurry and you get the opposite. Now there are others here who firmly believe that shards as clear as glass means it's the best gear around. I don't. I've never been able to find any property of shards that *consistently* tells you how good the meth is. I basically ignore the way they look and judge based on what my 3-5mg accurate scale says I should feel from a dose. Which still isn't reliable because of fucking biorhythms... it's all just a fucking unscientific mess, quite frankly, and we'll all tell you something different unfortunately. If anybody cares what my current theory is (and it's far from finished, there's just SO MUCH TO LEARN, argh...! Where's my meth, I'm falling behind...!): the clearer the shards, the fewer random impurities there are. That's good, obviously. The problem is that the cuts can be SO FUCKING IDENTICAL that you can have clear as glass shards with barely any actual meth in them at all, or shards that are opaque and look more like a weird frozen cloud than ice that blast you to the fucking moon because nobody actually cut the shit and it's "pure" meth, except the random garbage that somebody mixed up in a fucking Sprite bottle./end non-chemist theory
