For one, it didn't really work very well for me personally and I've never heard of it being prescribed for ADHD. For two, after abusing it for a few weeks many years ago, I started getting chest pains. They've never gone away. Very rare, maybe once or twice a week, but it's always concerned me. Only happens after I eat though, so I think it's probably a stomach valve or something and not my heart. I don't really know. You may react differently, of course, but again: I wouldn't recommend it.Really? Ive heard of it causing chest pains while taking it, but never heard of long lasting chest pains after stopping it. I suggested phentermine because adderall also has similiar pharmaology as amphetamines. Phentermine generally isnt prescribed for ADHD, but should work based on the pharmacology as well as the pharmokentics of both drugs. Its a better, safer option than meth as someone suggested.I don't mean to be rude, but adderall does not have a similar profile to amphetamines. It is amphetamines. I mentioned the four amphetamine salts that are in it earlier in the thread if you'd like to look.Believe me, nothing is as effective in treating ADHD as pharmaceutical grade amphetamines. I find meth to be a less effective option, and since you *can* smoke it or snort or whatever, the temptation to start abusing it may not be a good choice for some people to have around. It's still the best alternative that I've found. It's possible the pain I'm referring to actually has nothing to do with the phentermine. I mean just because I started feeling it while taking the drug doesn't necessarily mean it was caused by it. I also drink coffee, but I don't think coffee caused it... :) Would be a big coincidence, but stranger things have happened than a coincidence like that. Or perhaps I have some extremely mild dysfunction that was triggered or made worse by it. Who knows.
