I don't know precisely what the dir mirrors are used for, but they sound like they're what direct you to the guards that end up connecting you to the SR site. It may be that somebody is DoS'ing the Tor network. The website itself seems fine -- I mean even after not being able to connect for 10-15 mins, when I finally could, I was still logged in. I don't know how that could be unless the server was up the entire time and Tor was the problem.I guess it could still be the webserver... I don't know. I don't make websites or anything, so I could be wrong.
