Your order will remain "in transit" until you manually finalize the order after receiving it.

Common? Probably not, but I wouldn't get worried about 6 days. Two weeks is when I would contact the vendor maybe, or just hold tight until 16 days (1 before auto-finalization).

sorry for misunderstanding the question - i thought maybe you expected it to change from "in transit" to something else automatically.
anyway, i don't think you need to worry yet for a few reasons:
1. just because the vendor marked it 'in transit' 6 days ago doesn't mean that he actually put your order in the mail that same day. some vendors mark it in transit after they've gotten it packaged up and ready to go, but then don't actually send it that same day.
2. unless they're shipping via Express Mail, then it's not unreasonable for it to take a week or so to reach you.
what you can do, if you don't receive it in the next few days, is click on "resolve" when that option becomes available to you -- that will just extend the finalization date and give it more time to arrive.

thank you enpipe... i appreciate the reply, +1... also i forgot to mention he has taken down all his listings?? could that just mean he ran out of product?

Yikes. I appreciate that you're trying to help, but it's often a bad idea to wait until the day before it autofinalizes before you do something about an order that hasn't arrived. What happens if SR is down or has a technical issue then? Then it autofinalizes on you, counts against your buyer stats, and there's nothing you or SR Support can do to get your coins back.

if he ran out of product, he can always cancel the order from his end..

seems to long for first class.
i have a legit online biz and ship USPS all the time.
never had one 6 even coast to coast.
but it could have been delivered to another address.
they f up alot more so if a temp carrier if your regular carrier is out or on vacation.
Dont have any important stuff mailed if you know your carrier is not the regular.
I have had my mail end up other places when regular carrier was on vacation this was recently.
He is back now so all is back to normal

for me personally id say monday is the limit then you should talk to someone but like others have said marked in transit does not always mean they will ship or have shipped that day... Your still in the early stages of something going wrong seeing as he "supposedly shipped it" even if he runs out he has already sent yours. obviously no mail tonight so mondays your best bet! then if it doesn't take a step in the right direction I wouldnt go to drastic yet!

If you check more in the forums you will find a number of threads regarding slow transit times of late with downsizing of USPS & reshuffling of personnel & having less facilities open definitely has had an effect on delivery times. There are a number of people complaining of 10 - 12 days with priority with some over 3 weeks! Not all have been affected, some still get out in 2-3 days, but more are taking a little longer, & a few are taking way too long.

I just had a package marked in transit on May 31st arrive today.
Main thing is, a vendor hitting the In Transit button doesnt mean it is in transit. It probably just means he packaged it up and it is sitting in a pile to go to the PO.

That's very true and a good point; I'd probably not be too worried about it, especially if it's a small order or something, but that's me. I still stand by 2 weeks though--mail can take a long time, sometimes.
