Title: awkward capatcha?

does anyone else get a odd capatcha thingy?

like sometimes i go to log in and i see it says just 3 numbers on it instead of like letters and numbers..

what is going on here? been seeing it randomly for the past couple weeks..

when i put in an account that works on it with the right password it says login failed every single time.. then will take me to a normal cap..

HALP!!

It's a glitch that the site has been having for a few weeks now, but it's nothing dangerous or risky.  Just reload the page until it comes up with the normal 8-character captcha, and you should be all good.

This has been pissing me off aswell.  Especially when you get the 3 digit capatcha like 6 times in a row.  Good to know it's not anything serious like phishing or anything.

YES, I thought it was a scam at first and was quite hesitant to enter it but turns out it's just the luck of the draw!  I was suspicious because when SR was down recently I ran across a site that once there it was an exact replica of SR!!!  I don't have the website address now but I am sure it is still there.  I could only imagine what would happen if I had entered my information into it.  Immediately stolen like my Diablo III account years back!!  So yes, it is irritating but harmless.

Bug? I'd say it's a side effect of the anti DDOS attack solution SR came up with when it was inaccessible for a week about a month or so ago. That's when I first noticed it.

Minor, minor inconvenience compared to not being able to access the site.

Thread unlocked and moved to Technical support. I presume it was locked by a mod / admin in error?

We have a ghost in the machine! :P Could have been the OP, I keep forgetting that they can lock their own threads!! ;D Locked again as I presume that was what happened! Sorry all!
