I am trying to give a vendor a review in the rumor mill section but there is no option available to post new topic or to reply to an existing thread. I have posted in the rumor mill on previous occasions with no trouble. Any ideas what the issue may be?

In fact this is the only section that I am able to post or reply in.

I think it has to do with the "you must have 50 posts to post anywhere" feature that has recently been implemented.. Either contact a mod., or get 50 posts.

So the vendor that I was going to give a glowing review will not receive it because I have to post 50 meaningless posts to be able to give him the review he deserves? Wow! Ridiculous!

The 50 post policy was implemented to give us a slight advantage over the bitcoin spammers by allowing us more time to delete their posts and their accounts before they're able to spam the main forums.

Ok we'll I guess I'll just give him his review in customer support section and hope somebody stumbles across it because I am not doing this another 27 times!

Customer Support is for questions or problems, not for vendor reviews, but if you'd like, you can start a new thread here in the Newbie subforum with your review, PM me a link to it, and with your permission I can move it to the Rumor Mill for you.

Yes please move it to the rumour mill in his vendor review thread! I know customer support is for issues and not reviews but I did not make this 50 post rule where the only place I am able to post is in the customer support section. This system is flawed because my other option is not posting a review at all. I am just trying to payback to an excellent vendor and to the Silk Road community but the flaming hoops I need to jump thru are not worth it so this will be the last review I will be posting.

You can also post in the Newbie subforum .... which is where most people post their spam-to-50 threads.

Thanks for all your help scout! I will unfortunately take a pass on that! Unfortunately the vendors are the ones who will suffer as well as the customer base because it is just way more time than I am willing to spend to give an honest review of an outstanding vendor!

I think most people will have the same attitude as myself and no longer submit any reviews because it is just too much work! The only reason I wanted to leave this review is because my order was a custom listing and the review i left does not appear on his vendor page.
