Title: Vendors Beware of decoyf Details inside.
Post by: bbhc52 on May 17, 2013, 10:39 pm
There may or may not have been a problem with his order am I not sure as I do not keep records. I will say though he raised a dispute before even bothering to send me a message. In the past anyone who did not receive the items I re-shipped it out to them via express and doubled the original order in a couple cases I gave as much as 10x the order. This guy has no respect for vendors on here and doesn't even give the decency to write a message to have it resolved before raising a dispute. Just a fair warning. Thanks for reading.

I of course don't know the specific details of your dealings with this buyer, but to be fair, the wiki advises people to take the order to resolution if they don't receive it.  The wiki does not advise buyers to message the vendor first.  In most cases when a buyer doesn't receive an order, messaging the vendor privately won't achieve anything more than frustration, so it's advised they deal with these situations in the resolution center and keep all communication about the order there.

This whole "contact me before leaving anything less than 5/5 or going to resolution" is kind of sketchy in my opinion anyway. Going off on a bit of a tangent but the couple of times I have left less than a 5/5 has pissed off those two vendors, as well as once when I left a 5/5 but expressed dissatisfaction with the quality and to be honest, I don't care. Especially when the problem was the lack of stealth in shipping. As far as I am concerned in that scenario, we the buyers have an obligation to make it known to other potential buyers of the risk they may be taking by ordering from that vendor. Luckily, I've never had to go to resolution except one time when an international order took longer than the standard 17 days and had to be extended to allow for the longer shipping time.

If that means that vendor won't sell to me again, that's fine. Plenty of other vendors out there and my stats speak for themselves. 45 transactions over a 5 month period and 4500+ money spent with 0 refunds and 0 autofinalization. Trying to keep problems swept under the rug doesn't benefit anybody but the vendor and screws any future buyers that run into similar problems because nobody spoke up about it.
