Title: Vendor offering refund at a higher % for terrific fake feedback
Post by: pipoppett on May 13, 2013, 06:24 am
Hello!

We made an order a few months ago - it never arrived.

It was extended and extended etc, and then we came to an agreement I was to get a refund. We thought it was 75% - but he said it was 50% and said he put that in a resolution with SR staff (which we never saw) - He wrote us an email;

Emonkey(95)   I changed refund policy for USA from 75 to 50 a while ago but refund to AUS was 50% from the beginning so I putted that in resolution center. We can also do the following: I bend over to 65% refund after you finalized first and left me beneficial feedback by saying order arrived and all good that way I have better feedback you get more refund while it did not adverse effect your buyer stats. Up to you if you choose last option send me a PM once you left the feedback a BTC or just your BTC, a copy paste of your transaction details and I'll refund you asap and send you another PM with calculation / confirmation details.

So I finalised the order, giving him a glowing report - saying the package arrived safely etc. 5/5 and then, NOTHING.

I have not received ANYTHING back as he promised and now I can't even pull up the transaction. We have emailed this person REPEATEDLY... asking nicely for our refund as he promised, but have been ignored. Now it says he has not been on in 11 days and has nothing for sale. We reported the vendor today.

The refund of 65% equated to 5.6875BTC - We are completely PISSED off. What can we do? Can we get our BTC back?

Unfortunately, since you finalized the order, there is no way for SR to get your money back.  Your best option would be to try to work it out with the vendor himself, and you may want to think about editing the feedback you left to reflect that you were scammed.
