Title: Not received Bitcoin Deposit after getting new address

i pressed "get new address" in the account section to refresh the address i deposit bitcoins to earlier today. It refreshed with a fresh address. I then sent 0.93btc to the new address, but still have not received them 8 HOURS later. I have refreshed my account page and logged out/logged in multiple times to check, and have triple checked that i sent them to the new address correctly, and everything matches.

Does anyone know what has happened to my BTC, or if there is a way to track them? I have no idea how this works, but could it be that this new bitcoin address on my account has not been registered on the Bitcoin network? Any help would be hugely appreciated...

Hi folks,

The deposit process can take up to 24 hours but normally takes a lot less.
If you're checking the deposit on a site such as blockchain.info then what you're seeing is Silk Road's tumbler in action. There is nothing to worry about, and you will receive your coins.

If you do not receive your Bitcoin within 24 hours of having sent them, you can contact SR Support on the main site using the link in the bottom right hand corner of any page.

thanks ill definitely do that. I just checked the technical support forum and someone has just posted a topic with _exactly_ the same problem (ie, got new address, transfered btc, nothing showing up in his account). like him, i was also wondering if it is some kind of problem left over from the recent attacks. fingers crossed that our btcs show up in our accounts tomorrow.

@ darkstern - I was the one who posted that thread in the tech support forum, come to this one and see your thread posted. I'm obviously having the same issue and it was good to find that post from Libertas for some reassurance. Last time I transferred it was almost instantaneous after I had 6 confirmations from the BTC network but maybe getting a new address requires a few more confirmations and it will still deposit before the 24 hour mark. I hope theres no further issues for either of us and heres to hoping we won't need to bother SR support any further.  :D

I'm having the exact problem I just hit 8 hours as well, this is definitely a s.r. Issue because I get a new address before every deposit and it never takes more then an hour.  what blows is the btc rate keeps dropping I've lost 8 dollars and counting I'm sure it will be more by the time I get my money what a bummer!

Same here. I'm patient but my roommate is freaking out.  8) I do see the tumbler action on blockchain. SR is just shaking the haters off.
