“Hey Silk Road, I'm an up and coming journalist who is doing a mock segment to get a job with a major television and online news group. The segment won't be aired, or at least anytime soon, especially if I'm not hired. I just have a few questions that I'd love to hear responses from, especially to get a true feel for the community of drug users.
A. What drew you Silk Road?
B. Why did you chose to stay at Silk Road
C. Do you prefer it to “street” dealing and buying?
D. What is the community like?
E. Does it concern you that children could access the Silk Road and buy heroin, starting an early addiction

I'm more worried about the government killing innocent children than children safely accessing controlled substances. I'm more worried about cartels killing innocent people. I'm more worried about governments involvement in the trafficking of narcotics that they have scheduled as illegal narcotics.
Overall I'm more worried about the tyrannical system that I live in.

Yeah, you're not getting the job. I suggest that you become an organic chemist, synthesize a large batch of LSD-25 and sell it on Silk Road at a decent price. You'll be spreading a great thing and helping the world all while having more money than you could spend :)

Whats to stop children buying Heroin from a street dealer. A CNN story published on the news would be doing more harm alerting children to the site and giving them an opportunity to do so. If the site remains in the dark as intended and not on the front page or 6pm news less children are going to even know it exists.
I also cant see young children figuring out how the system works to begin with. Then anyone old enough to figure out bitcoin currency and how to install the needed software and order to an address is probably wise enough either not to try heroin already or if they are not would likely be scoring off their friends down at the local shopping mall. I bet the average user on silkroad is over 30 and has been involved in drugs for half their lives and have finally found a source that doesnt require mixing with gangs or psychopathic street dealers pushing them into buying on credit then breaking their limbs later when they cant afford it. Ive seen myself how dangerous the drug scene is and this is the safest drug market ever existed.
CNN and all media should leave is alone. You will do more harm than good. I only know SR existed by friends who also have a long history of drug use. Once its public knowledge kids will become interested so you should keep this story quiet and move on to some real issues in society, like gang violence, gun crime, etc. SR is the alternative to street dealing and which is worse?

A. Untainted and otherwise unavailable drugs from reliable vendors, guaranteed by the review system in place.
B. It is the best place to buy untainted drugs.
C. Of course, on the street you never know what you get. I was once sold crystal meth instead of MDMA.
D. Like every community. 1% ultra smart, 10% smart and the rest just wants to score their drugs.
E. If kids read the forums they will stay away from the bad 3 (heroin, cocaine, crystal) because they can get unbiased information from other users.
F. SR made it possible for me to aquire the king of psychedelics: DMT. It also allows me to buy high quality cannabis medicines like wax and hash oil that I could not get in my country otherwise.
In general I want to say that the forum helps you deciding what to buy. SR allows to try drugs that are usually very rare. I heve not extended my consumption to new drugs except for DMT, after trying any of the diverse offerings.
