Title: phishing scam victim
Post by: juancarlos on April 30, 2013, 07:33 pm
So (like a complete idiot) I seem to have fallen victim to one of the DEA seized phishing scams.  It had been a little while since I had last logged in, and thus did not realize how strange it was that I was being asked for my pin number.  As per the FAQ, I know that I am supposed to contact customer service through the main site, however that does not seem to be an option at the moment.  What should I do? I had a negligible amount of bitcoins in my account, so if that is all they are after, i guess its not a big deal.  What I am worried about is the possibility of these phishers somehow finding out my real life identity through my account. (via my shipping address on past orders or something like that)  Is this a legitimate concern? Thanks.

Well, for the time being no one can access SR anyway.  And if you've provided your info to a phishing site, there's really nothing that SR Support can do for you anyway -- you would just need to change your password and your PIN.
