As the title suggests.
What is the reason for a 50 post requirement to be imposed in order to use the forum. It's ludicrous!
All "Newbie's" are doing are spamming their way to the magic 50 in the Newbie Thread to start posting in the rest of the forum.
This is completely counter intuitive to having a forum in the first place.
Rather have a strict 'Search and Read' rule imposed, rather than 'SPAM your way to 50 Posts'. These same people posting useless info to get to 50 don't learn anything regarding the use or way of life of a forum.
I sincerely hope a MOD reads this post. And go over to the newbie section and just look at that mess. Call this a professional forum, the Newbie section makes a complete mockery of this.
I have been able in the past to post new threads and reply in the non-newbie threads, however looks like this rational thinking has been abandoned and we are left with a bunch of SPAMMER newbies going for the magic 50, just to continue there crap in the non-newbie threads, due to this rule. This all leads to improper and uneducated ways of posting on a forum, which, by enforcing this '50' rule, you are endorsing...
A lot of so-called new members are already accustomed to a forum and it's workings, being able to post BS for 50 posts before having access to the SR forum is a plain insult.
So please MODERATORS, explain this reason? The FAQ doesn't.

The 50 post rule was brought in to help combat the spamers and scammers, namely the bogus bitcoin sellers who fill up every board on the forums with their annoying posts. This way they get contained to one sub forum giving the mods a chance to delete their posts before they spill into the rest of the forums.
Look I'm hearing you re the newbie section, it is festering mess of spam and I would seriously love to go in there and clean it up but for the time being those who run this site are turning a blind eye to things and that's just how things are I'm afraid.

So, in that respect, do you mind if I go over to the newbie section and just post bogus info until I reach my 50 posts.
I feel uncomfortable by 'spamming' my way to the top.
But if this is the consensus, I will reluctantly oblige.
