Title: Just a word of warning, that should be obvious
Post by: ginni138 on April 26, 2013, 05:23 am
If a vendor cannot figure out how to decrypt your pgp message containing your shipping address, consider this to be a blessing in disguise.  Any vendor not smart enough to master and flawlessly use pgp before becoming a vendor is too stupid or ignorant to adequately protect my personal information.

Can you imagine any vendor writing back and saying that they cannot decrypt your message and so are cancelling your order?  Unimaginable, absolutely unimaginable.   Well it happened to me, lucky me, I'll steer clear to that one, rather do without.

To be fair, there are probably cases in which the buyer encrypts incorrectly or to the incorrect key.  In those cases, it isn't the vendor's fault if they can't decrypt it.

Good point....can't say I blame you on that one. Thank you.
