Title: Need Resolution Center help, PLEASE!
Post by: UnjustIndignation on April 25, 2013, 10:00 pm
I'm not sure exactly to whom or where I am supposed to address my claim, but I would appreciate any help in guiding me to the right place and apologize in advance if this is not the proper forum. The gist is this; I, the customer, am now out $600+ on a 30+ day old order that I still have never received. Yes, I DID finalize.. however, in the message dialogue between the vendor and I; he does in fact admit that he mistakenly thought I had cancelled my order, until after I showed him that I had finalized early for him and left feedback, saying "thanks!". He then apologizes and says the order will definitely go out on Monday, April 22nd, but that he will try and make a rare exception for me and ship it out on Saturday. I then provide him with the address, now the second time (via Privnote).

Today (Thursday, the 25th), the order still hasn't arrived and so I messaged him to let him know that I may be forced to change my feedback to 1/5 if it does not arrive. He then becomes VERY caustic and claims that I am a scammer(?) and starts swearing at me while accusing me of threatening him. He goes on to exclaim that he couldn't ship it anyway because he didn't know my address. This makes no sense; I gave him the address on FRIDAY, April 19th (second time now) and from what I understand, the site didn't go down until Tuesday(?). It seems to me that he's just making excuses and now throwing up the "scammer" tag because he knows I FE (take advantage much?) and that makes be look like I'm on the take.. HOWEVER, the proof is in the proverbial pudding - all you have to do is read our message dialogue and it's all there.

I'm just shocked because I've never had a problem in over a year here and this vendor is like in the top 10% of sellers here and I assumed that with that reputation would come all the traits would make him a top shop: integrity, trust, communication.

This was a fairly large order (over $600+), for me anyway, and for this to drag on for over a month now is just ridiculous and unprofessional. I have been very patient, polite and understanding up until this point. I fear I may already be on the losing end of this deal this simply because of his clout and status among the "elite" sellers and also because of the fact that I did FE in good faith; having already done business with him in the past without ever a problem. However, I'm hoping that an Admin will PLEASE review our message dialogue - the vendor directly acknowledges and admits that he LOST my order, made a mistake and took fault for the non-shipment.

I appeal directly to whomever may oversee the Resolution Center to PLEASE review this case. I understand that due to all the recent technical issues, my cry for justice may be drowned out and never heard (lol); but who knows.. maybe karma is still alive out there, somewhere.

I won't be able to respond or check this thread until later this evening or tomorrow morning; but THANKS in advanc e to anyone who may be able to help.

Unfortunately given you resolved there is nothing SR can do to help you, you will just have to hope the vendor does the right thing and resolves things with you. If not it will be an expensive lesson on why you should never FE before you receive and are happy with your order.

Posting in the vendors review thread and/or creating a new one in rumor mill discussing your situation may also help motivate the vendor to come to the table.

samesamebutdifferent is exactly right.  also, you may not want to be posting your hushmail address here ...

Hey, thanks for the replies. The vendor and I have come to a amicable agreement and he says he'll be shipping the order out soon (in a day or three), so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt for the third time and I've changed his feedback to help protect his rep; hopefully it will come through next week and this can be put to bed. Once again, I appreciate the help.

Yep, The vendor did recv. payment, so is it too late? The vendor is not working with me to resolve the problem. Will I get a refund?

No, you paid already. SR cannot help you. Try to appeal to the vendor's humanity to get a partial refund. Try not to be all or nothing at all. Something back is better than nothing.

This is correct.  The only thing you can do now is to work with the vendor for any kind of refund.  You've already released the funds, so there's nothing SR can do to help you get any of it back.

When you finalize your coins leave escrow and are deposited in the vendors account and are irretrievable.

This is why SR cannot help you with your order after you finalize.

Nearly every post in customer support regarding buyers who have been scammed or are having issues have finalized their orders, you don't read too many people complaining about their orders when their coins are in escrow.

Do not FE.
