Title: Becoming a full member
Post by: reallytho on April 21, 2013, 07:38 am
Hello,

I'm new to this forum but not SR.  I have quite a few transactions under my belt and would like to leave a review for my latest one, though that is not possible due to my membership status.  How do you expedite the process of becoming a full member so that I can make posts?

You need 50 posts in this section before you can post elsewhere.

Jesus, looks like I've got some work to do.  That's a shame since I just got pretty fucked over by a vendor and I want my anger to be expressed in full in the review, which will be subsided by the time I'm able to make it.  Oh well, rules are rules.

There's nothing stopping you from posting the review in this section to warn others.

The 50 posts don't have to be legit posts, you just gotta hunker down and post 50 times, no matter how little sense the posts actually make. I did it by starting a thread for dumb jokes , and just did it in 1 sitting. That was even more than is necessary but I amused myself, if no one else.

I don't get it. If I tell you a joke you get to 50 faster? Or do I?

Noooo!  The newbie forum has some good threads in it but they all get buried by new spam-to-50 threads, Sure start a few threads on interesting topics, but if you just want to nuke useless replies, use an old thread, there're hundreds of them.  One guy got his 50 posts with 50 single word threads.  The whole first page of the newbie section was all his shitty drivel.  New spam threads just trash the section.  Don't shit in the pool!!!

So Maybe tell us what happened with your vendor??
Thats not spam and maybe others will learn from your mistake.

thats what i meant just start your own thread instead of hijacking other posts with shit. if u gave out that -k can u please reverse it im trying hard to give advice and not shit on the legit ones. if you nuke an old thread it becomes a top post and thats the same as just making your own. i have nontentions of shitting on legit stuff or buying anything.. look thru my posting history.. trying hard here

HA HA!!  No man, I didn't "-1" you, we're all learning here.  And +1 to you for such a heartfelt response.  If it's any consolation, on here, karma doesn't mean any more than what people give it in their heads when they look at it under your username.  Still, it feels like an acceptance thing for me....I still wish I cared less about what other people think of me.

This is not advice that I would give. Do NOT spam just anywhere in the newbie section, look for a spam thread found by it being in the title. 'PLACE SPAM HERE TO GET TO 50' is an example, and is the most posted thread on the forums.

In answer to the OP q., you become a full member at 100 posts. Only 50 are needed to post in other sections however.

Real q. is why would you not put a review here? If it really is important, you should post it here on your way to 50.

Piece, Love, and Fuck Haters.
