Hi,
Just looking for a bit of advice here.
I made a purchase 5 days ago with a vendor I don't wish to name & shame yet.
Their listings advertise "free next day delivery".
2 days after the order was placed the vendor messaged me to let me know there was an error with my PGP encryption. I re-encrypted my address and apologised immediately.
I messaged the vendor 2 days ago to see if the new encryption had worked since I hadn't heard back from the vendor and I notice that my message containing my address is unread. The vendor has been active for the past 3 days, and I've sent a couple more messages but none of them have even been read.
I'm quite upset at what seems to be no attempt to try and get anywhere close to the advertised 24hr delivery.
What would you do in this situation?
Thanks in advance

Is it 'in transit' or 'processing'?

It is marked as In Transit. But as explained in my post, it can't be in transit since the vendor hasn't seen my address.

Worst case scenario is that you wait for 17 days, and ask for a full refund. There is nothing much that can be done. I don't think there are many SR staff. I think there may only be two, so it is highly unlikely that they will prioritize your problem. That is what resolution is there for.

Haha, I'm not looking for prioritisation man... Just some advice from somebody who may have been in this situation before. You know how it is when an order doesn't go as smoothly as it should!

I guess I don't have any advice for you, but I wonder why he put it into transit when he didn't have your address. That is against SR rules. You can use that when you are in resolution.

Thanks for the heads up! I could probably find this in another thread but hopefully I can have another minute of your time; do the Resolution admins get access to the message correspondence between the vendor and I?

I would say yes, but do not count on them to take the initiate to look at it. Include whatever correspondence that is relevant during your communications with admins during resolution.

I'm not sure what's going on in your individual situation but I just wanted to let you (and others) know that the vendor may have read your message by clicking the 'bulk reply' button on their messages page. The message doesn't actually get marked as read until they have replied to it / marked it as read; seeing as they haven't replied to your messages they would still appear as "unread" in your outbox, so it's entirely possible that your package is on its way. It's also entirely possible that it's not, but if you have ordered from a reputable vendor then you should have nothing to worry about.
From the bottom of the 'bulk reply' page:
When you are finished writing replies, click the "send replies" button above. Any unanswered messages will remain unread unless the "mark as read" box is checked. After submitting, you will be presented with the next set of oldest unread messages until there are none remaining in your inbox.

As far as I know yes the admins can review the correspondence between you and the vendor if necessary.

That's correct - admins can see the messages, even if they were deleted.
