Title: Refund from a banned Vendor

I recently entered a transaction with a seller for a product.  Since then, product has never arrived, emails never responded too, and now I find the seller has been banned by SR.

So I am pretty sure I am yet another victim on the list.  But I obviously wish to exhaust my possibilities before the anger over it all consumes me.

First of all, I was an idiot and did the FE... I normally stand hard and fast on no FE, but for this vendors community backup, I felt it warranted.  Plus the offer for a minor rebate was attractive.  We are none of us made of money, so every inch we can gain, is a inch better used someplace else.

First, transaction id was ec962c9bcc, vendor 'xanax bar' on Apr 6, 2013.

Amount was 1.81BTC with postage.

Since vendor has been booted, the final resolution is pretty obvious for many.  But I must be able to call in a 'Check out my stats, perfect score here guys!!!  reward a solid hard working and honest man with a little support on this occasion!!!' favor card...

I hope to hear back with great news, like a refund of just a couple BTC...  Help a struggling family man feed and provide, while keeping the aches and pains at bay.  Help me please, and you know it comes back to everyone.  Not only in word of month for the site, but stronger relationships with a good customer, who speeds money, writes good reviews, delivers honest messages.  Help me be enthused and help me recover this minor loss.  Worry not, the lessoned is learned, and will not be repeated, but help me carry the burden of it, share its pain with me, and give me a reason to continue this relationship.  It's time for some customer building excercises!  :)

Since you posted this thread in the Customer Support subforum, I'm guessing it is directed at us.  In which case, my reply is as follows:

Are you serious? 

You made the decision to go against SR recommendations about remaining in escrow.  You made the decision to finalize early.  You chose to take that risk.

I'm sorry the vendor got away with your funds, but seriously, the escrow system is in place FOR A REASON - it provides protection for the vendor and the buyer.  There is absolutely nothing that SR can do for you if you choose to trade outside of that system.

I apologize if this is harsh, but it's frustrating that you made the decision to take that risk and now that it didn't pan out, you want the benefits of the system you chose not to use!
