I'm not sure what going on though I always have had my setting set to show dollar amounts not BTC... Anyways my account had a little over $121.00 just a few hours ago and now it is showing that I have $59.92... I'm sorry but the BTC market cant be fluctuating that much in a few hours.... I checked mt.gox and they have not fluctuated like this in anyway... What's going on, is SR being hacked or what???
Really appreciate anyone's help...
Peace,
AC

No, SR is not being hacked. You have a certain number of BTC in your account - the value of that BTC fluctuates with the market which, yes, has been fluctuating pretty wildly recently.

So where does SR get it's BTC price from? I don't understand how the BTC price fluctuated that much (in half) in just a few hours... Mt.Gox is a BTC stock market in a way and it shows quite a different price for a BTC...
Could I be able to buy BTC from SR?
Thanks,
AC

SR uses Mt Gox Average, but there's some delay in it.

Yes your right with Mt Gox prices and SR... Though something strange was going on, I did receive BTC back from SR for being scammed by EJDirect though I lost money cause the BTC value was down,,, I made a few purchases and had $50+ something dollars left... Then a few hours ago it showed I had over $112.00 , Geeze I should of purchased something, if only I knew....

I noticed some threads earlier where people were reporting a glitch. The glitch is fixed so that's probably why you saw it go down. Also, I hope you're joking about "I should of purchased something, if only I knew...." ... in cases where there is a glitch making your account show more than it should, orders placed end up costing the vendors since that extra money isn't real.

I noticed some threads earlier where people were reporting a glitch that caused things to double. The glitch is fixed so that's probably why you saw it go down. Also, I hope you're joking about "I should of purchased something, if only I knew...." ... in cases where there is a glitch making your account show more than it should, orders placed end up costing the vendors since that extra money isn't real.
Oh wow so there was a glitch, that's exactly what I experienced then... Yes I was joking (as I wouldn't want to get in trouble for fraudulent behavior) , though I did not know it was a glitch at the time.... I hope things calm down soon with these volatile BTC prices going wild...

Nope, all of you are wrong. There was a bug today that set the price on BTC at $189, rather than the $90 or so that it should have been.

Thanks for the info! Anyway, since the issue has been resolved, I'll go ahead and lock this thread.
