Of course SR knew about this scam , how do you think they make their money , Ive only been around for a couple of months (under this name anyway) but one thing that stands out a mile is this :
1) if you are a scammer (one of theirs) you can get away with it for months and your feedback will always remain high
2) Even when everybody (buyers) on here knows that people are allowed to keep scamming people (especially Newbies) nobody says a fucking thing
3) Despite MODERATORS actually speaking out against this NOTHING GETS DONE
4) SILK ROAD is as Ive said before like a big SCHOOL PLAYGROUND with all the BULLIES in one corner slowly picking off the rich and clueless NEWBIES .
5) If you not in the INCROWD your basically going to get nowhere fast .
6) God help you if you ever do get successful . You are shut down !
7) Despite all the bullshit that gets spouted alot more can be achieved by SR and its Moderators to stop the scammers far quicker than they do at present . You have to ask yourselves this one ? "why is that then"

How do you propose this? Samesamebutdifferent (the other mod) and I are on here every day all day reading posts, and we report problems / scams that we see happening directly to DPR and the staff. That is ALL that we can do - we have no further power beyond passing that information along to them.

I've been on the road for almost 2 years now and HAVE NOT been scammed yet. (knock on wood) But then again I'm not FE or MOST IMPORTANTLY buying BTC for moneypak as that has Get Fucked written all over it. Props to the current mods as they do the best they can and I was fortunate to learn alot from Good Ol' Nomad Bloodbath himself back when he was doing such a fine job back in the day. I think there are LESS scams now actually but they do still exist that is for sure... but most are always in the same areas.....buying your BTC on the road. Never done it...NEVER WILL. There used to be so many LSD scams before the avengers came along it wasn't even funny. Newbies have to take some responsibility and do their homework in the forums or else they are ripe for the picking by the few DISHONEST FUCKS out there. SR is not perfect but it's PRETTY FUCKING COOL if you ask me.
