Title: Instawallet Heist
Post by: drgreentrees on April 11, 2013, 05:17 am
So I started an InstaWallet to keep my BitCoins in, and a few days ago I read online about the InstaWallet system being jacked.  Sure enough, when I went to my wallet, it was empty.  Did anyone else get jacked? Is there any recourse?  And would there be a record of how much was actually in my wallet?  I haven't seen anything about it in the forums.

They are giving refunds on wallets with <50BTCs, so long as you have the wallet URL and key. Larger amounts are being processed on a case by case basis.

I'm glad mine was empty.

Instawallet is done!

This bitcoin stuff is becoming risky business.

It forced me to use my desktop wallet for the first time, though. Now, I don't know how to make this blockchain end or speed up the deposit process. It's been a couple of days and I have no idea what to do.

Not happy! >:(
