Title: This new vendor is trying to scam me, please cancel my order
Post by: superrambo on April 10, 2013, 07:02 pm
So I made a purchase of 1lb of dank weed from a new vendor named d3693. He had 0 feedback and 0 transactions and has only been on the road for 1 month, but has great prices so I bit the bullet and paid 2600 for 1lb with full escrow. Communication with the vendor has been a little bit dodgy, and I ordered express shipping which has not arrived after 2 nights. Here is a conversation log. I am almost positive that the vendor did not mail any item out and is trying to corner me into FE'ing early. He cannot provide tracking and is not responsive to my messages anymore. I have 2700$ locked up in escrow because of this order, which was not even shipped in the first place. Can SR support please cancel my transaction so I can have access to my funds? I cannot afford to wait 9 more days with 2700 waiting in escrow. I'm not worried about losing my funds because there is no way I will FE 1 lb of bud. I'm more annoyed that this guy might be taking me for a fool and wasting my time, all while I'm waiting for my weed to arrive.

Me: After 20 days the funds are automatically released to you whether I finalize or not. Don't worry I'll make sure to finalize as soon as the package arrives. Do you have tracking for the package? I chose express but didn't see the package here after 1 night, so hopefully it comes tomorrow.    1 hour

d3693 But what if you don't finalize and it goes to a dispute? 2 hours

Me: I did not receive the package yet, thats why you haven't gotten payment. I thought we agreed that I will not finalize until the package arrives. If you mailed it Monday I'll expect it Tuesday with the express shipping, so I'll finalize when I receive it.    16 hours

d3693: Why haven't I gotten the payment for it yet?    17 hours

Me: Will the package require signature?    1 day

d3693: I prefer privnote to be honest, your item should be sent tomorrow. 2 days

Me: Hello,
I placed my order for 1lb of your dank with express shipping. I sent you a privnote with my address because I don't have access to my PGP right now. Let me know if you prefer PGP.

d3693: Just select the option I have listed on the item and I'll send it to you before the date it's expected if that's cool. Everything is quad sealed and sanatized.    2 days

Me: I will place my order Sunday when I get more coins. I will also select Express shipping if you are able to ship an LB express? Is your stealth professional? Thanks, looking forward to doing business.    2 days

d3693: Oh no way bro, idc when you wanna finalize. Also I can do that for you.    2 days

Me: FE means 'Finalize Early'. It means releasing payment to the seller before you receive your package. It's something lots of scammers do so I prefer to not finalize until my package arrives.
Is it possible to receive a QP of Blue dream, Sour Diesel, Mr. Nice Guy, and any bubba that you have left? (1lb total)
Thanks for the help.    3 days

d3693: Blue dream, Sour Diesel, Casey Jones, and Mr. Nice guy. I may have some bubba kush layin around lololol. What is FE? 3 days

Me: Great, what strains do you have available? Also, I would prefer to not FE. Is this cool? 3 days

d3693: You bet ;)    3 days

Me: Hello,
Are your dank LB quantities available for ordering?
Thanks.

So it has only been 2 days?  Sometimes there can be unforeseen delays.  You should probably wait until the end of the week at least and if you still haven't received it, then take it to resolution.  At this point though, there's no way to "cancel" your order since the vendor may already have put it in transit.

The vendors incompetence with FE policy, and the fact that he asked "Why haven't I gotten payment yet?" even after we clearly laid out that I will not FE leads me to believe he is trying to corner me into finalizing for no product. No transaction should be this much of a blunderfuck on the vendor's part.

There's no reason to FE for him.  As long as you avoid doing that, you'll be fine.

So he cancelled my order after my repeated messages and said

"d3693:   I'm sorry, I didn't know this is how the escrow system works. I must cancel the order, sorry for the inconvenience but I can't risk losing that. "

What a complete fucker. And I only received 2500 from the 2700$ that the original item was. Fuck him. Is there any way for SR support to contact this guy and confirm that he is attempting to fuck people over?

You would hope a new vendor would look into how the payment system operated, it could be a complete case of naivety or it could be something more sinister. They haven't technically done anything wrong at this stage though as they didn't ask you to finalize, well not directly anyway. Best thing to do is post a warning on the forums to alert other potential buyers to this and see if anyone else had a similar experience because if it happened to a lot of people that would suggest the vendor knew exactly whet they were doing.

Clearly incompetent, or a scammer. Either way, this vendor should be banned.

He has admitted that he hasn't read the sellers guide. Ban him.

No offense, but judging from that exchange of messages, how on earth could you have felt comfortable ordering from this guy? The "lololol" alone would have probably been enough to make me run the other way. Then, in addition to the juvenile teenage lingo, you actually had to explain to HIM how the process works. Even if he is new, do you really want to deal with someone who doesn't even take the time to educate himself about a business as serious as this?

Anyway, glad you got your money back and I'm sure you'll be sticking to reputable vendors from now on. :)
