Title: All Searching Broken
Post by: wiz819 on April 09, 2013, 10:27 pm
I'm not sure if this applies to all members or not, but since I haven't seen any other topics about it I'm assuming not. For the past few days, I've got the message "Search is temporarily disabled. Sorry for the inconvenience." when trying to search for an item on SR. When I try to search for something on the forum, I get "Your last search was less than 5 seconds ago. Please try again later." even though my last search was nowhere near 5 seconds ago.

The search on the main site is, indeed, not working right now.  The search on the forums, however, is still working -- you just have to deal with the "your last search" errors by waiting a few seconds and trying again.  It has to do with the Tor network.

Any estimation on when it will be back? Trying to put shipments in early so they get here before the 20th. I know the vendor's username, but not his vendor URL.

No idea, but I've let DPR know, so hopefully it'll be back soon!  You could try searching for posts by that vendor here on the forums -- if you find them, they will have a link to their vendor profile in their signature.

Any word? I'm trying to search for a specific couple of strains for meds . . . don't really feel like browsing 50 odd pages of weed, although if it's not gonna come back up, I should probably start now . . . Thanks!

Nope, no word.  Sometimes they just fix these things without responding ... so my best advice would be just to keep trying.

Fuck, guess this won't be fixed, since wiz819 has already been waiting a few days. Also, the forum search is indeed not working. I've never searched it before right now, so I doubt my last search was less than 5 min. ago.
